This reminds me of my coworker.
Mothers Day was coming up and someone in the office asked her what she was getting her Mother for Mothers Day.
When she said "Nothing" all hell broke loose.
People were offering opinions and speaking on subjects they had ZERO knowledge of.
Because we were cool, I already knew that her Mother was extremely abusive to her and her siblings both mentally and physically during her childhood.
I thought for a second about that and realized everyone doesn't have the same story.
I called my Mother that very night and thanked her for being such a great Mom.
Everyone aint that lucky.
Getting pregnant / having kids does not automatically make us worthy of anything.
Having kids ≠ Raising kids.

The sadness in her eyes when people were commenting on Motherhood / Mothers Day was heartbreaking...but these folks were too busy making everything about them and their lived experiences that they didn't even notice her silence.
Hard to watch.
She never once corrected them...even when they told her she was wrong.
