The Australia branch of Kentucky Fried Chicken tweeted out a racially charged meme Monday to celebrate the engagement between American actress Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

The fried chicken company posted a meme of an engagement ring box open to reveal a piece of fried chicken with the caption “Exclusive Photo from Buckingham Palace #RoyalEngagement” Monday.

The company deleted the tweet shortly after it released it. The company did not return The Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment in time for publication.

Makes no sense...they begging to stay in buisness. Small town America is the only reason they still open.

Their quality dropped decades ago and that tweet wasn't even remotely funny or clever.

**** KFC and the national rugby league in the Aussie and New Zealand. ****** over my homeland this past weekend on that BS. Racial favoritism runs deep in sports. MateMaaTonga!!!!

I could see how a lazy advertising director could overlook the fact that she's half black. Hell...when I first saw that picture I thought she looked hispanic or possibly middle-eastern.

Nevertheless, it's a stupid ad regardless of her racial background, but it's exponentially dumber in context.

Damn, I didn´t know he was marrying the girl from Suits.

Damn, if I saw ever saw this ad in the streets, I would've gave it a chuckle and moved on. "Racially charged ad" would be the last thing on my mind but I guess people wake up everyday looking for things to trigger them.
