I love Pau, but Father Time has got him beat. At the same time, if he wants to try, I admire the effort. Sometimes you’re the last to know. When he’s ready to call it a career, I’ll be happy that we can hang his jersey up at Staples and appreciate his Laker days/contributions to the ‘09 and ‘10 chips.

The Lakers are monitoring Oklahoma City’s Trevor Ariza should he become free, sources say. As of now, both Ariza and George Hill are expected to begin the season on the Thunder roster. There is also interest in Hill’s services around the league.

-What does Gasol have left in the tank?
-How hard will Bron and AD play?
-Can Shroder replicate last season's shooting?
-Can Trezz become an adequate defender?
-Can THT carve out rotation minutes?
-Will Kuz be content with his role?
-How hard will Vogel coach this team?

-I feel comfortable with what Morris, Caruso, Matthews and KCP will bring to the table.
