Do you get offended if a friend invites you to a party last minute and decide not to go or do you just go to be a good friend and go to the party anyway? This has never happen to me so I never thought anything of it.... well today my friend who ive known for a long time texted me today and mind you i havent heard from them in a while so i was like ok? But they were like whats your address so im hyped like ya man ill go to your wedding im good friends with his fiance also so i was excited to go and be invited.... Then he was like ya save the date Sept 15 and im like oh hell no all last minute so i felt some kinda way... Im still going to go because of open bar, all my friends will be there and it will be fun but not going to lie it does feel kinda weird... Has this happen to you guys before?

depends on often we hang out/talk. i've learned that just because you've known someone for a long time, it doesn't mean they're a close friend. if i were in your situation, i'd go.

Don't even sweat it. Just go and enjoy yourself and your friends moments in life.

i dont know a lot of the weddings i go to it was 6 months before hand i got an invite... maybe my friend just decided on a wedding recently...im not trying to make it seem like im important and i have better things to do because i dont hence why im so eager to go and to support my friend of course... just thought it was odd thats all because its new to me...

I came in here thinking someone hit you up an hour before they needed another body to fill a table requirement (or something similar)

Sept 15? Are you in the wedding? If not, that's plenty of notice. Be glad he thought of you.

that was my thought, had to read the post a few times to realize he meant September 15th was the "last minute invite". OP wouldn't like me lol there's not a lot I give invites two months ahead for

I was thinking it was going to be way last minute but he let you know 2 months in advance. They have a limited amount of people they can invite so maybe some spots opened up. Just be happy he wanted to invite you.

In the words of the great Bomani Jones..... "You aint gotta get ready if you stay ready."

I don't mind last minute invites.

If I feel like going Ill say yeah if not I say no.

Never felt any way about it.

When I think of last minute I think of some of my close friends hitting me up to go to an event less than half an hour in advance, not months

Don't see any problem, if I go then I'll just arrive a bit later as I'd still need to get ready.
If I don't feel like going or it's a bit too late for me I just nah, another time. No hard feelings.

My mom can't stand our lack of advance planning though

thanks for your opinion guys maybe i was overthinking/overreacting only because i had advance notice before on a wedding like 6 months prior so this was all new to me.. regardless its not a big deal and im a have fun with the groom and his wife, chill with my friends and kill that open bar :pimp:

It's a wedding, imagine them having to plan everything on their own including who's going. There's alot they're juggling in their hands. They probably forgot to invite some peeps initially then your name popped up in their head. The most important thing is they invited you to their wedding, in other words, they want people who matter to them to attend their special day. Look at the brightside my man and enjoy the day

You don't know what last minute is brah...

Story time.

One of my close friends or so I thought that I know from way back invited me the morning/noon of his wedding... and like the bozo I was I went.

It was in his backyard because of some religious stuff and his traditional wedding was supposed to come after.

I was salty but was like whatever you know... same friend came a few months later and borrowed $ from and I didn't hesitate to lend him and he's not paid me back yet :smh

Sometimes people don't value good people it's all good though, but always learn lessons from things you go through in life.

Op hear me out ok?

Its july cuh, how is september last minute? Your always offended and axing for advice. Wheres your dad?

I swear your cycle is stronger then a female battle rapper menstrating.
