I hope we get him back, I loved when he came off the bench last year. Solid shot, had a lot of blocks for us. Seemed to bring energy at times, hope he is back

Looks like the only Knicks games ill be going to are the ones across the river.

I will not pay $200 a ticket to sit any higher than 10 rows from the court, thats ridiculous.  Last 6 yrs ive been getting tickets within the first 5 rows for under $400(For 2) at the Garden.

I bought 13 tickets this morning. I got the bulls, mavs, hawks, Pacers, and bucks. Decent seats. Will be selling throughout the season.

Has anyone actually bought tickets on this presale??

Im holding off with the hope of 10$ tickets after the scrimmage just like last year

Since yall got Tyson I'm adopting the Knicks as my Eastern Conference team.

With the squad yall got now yall are top 3 in the East.

My biggest concern is that your coach sucks.

Looks like J Craw's heading to the Blazers (according to sources). If we don't get either him or Purp that would be a major fail. At this point I just want Purp locked up before we're left with nothing

I doubt Craw would take 2.5M, after.his.run last yr, and I wont blame him.

ill ne fine with signing Purp.

He's not gonna contend for nothing in POR though.

I know it's a paycut after his showing in in the playoffs last year but given the other teams I'd think he'd try to go on another run. If anything another good showing would give him more suitors in 2012 offseason.

But I understand if he goes for more money.

on the fence with getting shawne or jamal...
tired.gif

shawne works hard on defence, can play/defend multiple positions, can rebound, doesn't take bs from anyone (brings 'toughness' when he plays)
jamal can create his own shot, can take ppl off the dribble, is clutch, and is known for his 4pt plays

they both can score, can stretch the floor, create matchup problems (shawne on off. vs a big man/ jamal on off. vs smaller 1/2)
and they both had good seasons last year and are familiar with starting or coming off the bench, so the transition into our rotation should be fine....

if we get jamal, we have another clutch player. remember shawne passed up on an open 3 to win the game vs philly last year.

but, i wouldn't mind who we get....
although if we don't get any of the two now, i don't think we'll get another chance to sign/trade for them in the future...

question about the scrimmage this sunday..if i wanted autographs of some players..how early do i have to show up?  do i just walk down the court and ask for some?
Opening Tip: Crawford or Williams?
December, 14, 2011  7:00 AM ET

By Jared Zwerling and Ian Begley
Every morning throughout the season, ESPNNewYork.com will tackle a burning question about the Knicks in our "Opening Tip."

Today's Burning Question: Which player would be a better fit in the second unit, former Knick Jamal Crawford or Shawne Williams, who was recently a Knick?

On Monday, Glen Grunwald said he would love to have Crawford back. Then on Tuesday, Mike D'Antoni said he would love to have Williams back. But even with the season's greetings upon us, both desires won't be fulfilled. In fact, neither may happen because both players are seeking a more expensive multi-year extension than what the Knicks can offer. Crawford is also attracted to Portland and Sacramento; Williams is also weighing the Nets and a few other teams.

But, if one of the wishes could come true, which player would you rather have? Jared Zwerling argued for Crawford; Ian Begley went with Williams.

BENCH SCORING IS A BIG SHORTCOMING

Since training camp opened on Friday, the dominant storyline has centered around the Knicks' starting point guard position. But a close second is -- just that -- the second unit.

More specifically, who's going to be the immediate scoring threat off the bench? Mike Bibby? Bill Walker? Iman Shumpert? Jared Jeffries? None of them. (At least Shumpert and Jeffries will have defense covered.)

Shawne Williams wouldn't be that guy either. He's a one-dimensional scorer -- a spot-up 3-point specialist, usually from the corner. While Williams is a better versatile defender than Crawford, the Knicks need a versatile scorer in their second unit. Crawford would be the second or third option when Carmelo Anthony and/or Amare Stoudemire are sitting.

While some Knicks fans remember Crawford as a chucker -- he hovered around 40 percent shooting in his four seasons in New York -- he improved his accuracy in Atlanta. He also had one of the best campaigns of his career with the Hawks. In 2009-10, Crawford shot 44.9 percent from the field and averaged 18.0 points per game, en route to earning Sixth Man of the Year honors.

Guess what, folks? Mike Woodson was coaching him then. Now money, and the potential trade loss of Douglas, potentially stand in the way of a reunion.

SCORING? FOCUS SHOULD BE DEFENSE

If you want Jamal Crawford, you’re going to have to give up players in a sign-and-trade to get him. (I’d be shocked if he accepts the Knicks' $2.5 million exception.)

It’s been widely reported that the Knicks would have to give up Toney Douglas to get Crawford. So you’re telling me it’s smart to give up one of your most talented defenders (Douglas) -- on a team that doesn’t have much defensive talent outside of Tyson Chandler – for a guy who plays next to no defense (Crawford)? That leaves Mike Bibby as your starting point guard. I just don’t see the logic.

So bring back Williams. He knocked down 40.1 percent of his 3-point attempts last season and was a versatile defender. He makes the most sense for this roster. By the way, imagine Amare Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony and Crawford on the floor together trying to play defense without Chandler? That has to be Mike Woodson’s worst nightmare.
Like I said from the get, I would still rather have Crawford than Purp, but only if it's not at the cost of TD.

RT @TommyBeer: Over the 2nd-half of that 2008 season (with Shaq at C), Amar’e averaged 28.5 ppg & 8.8 rpg... #ChandlerEffect?
