I need an nice outfit for interviews I was wondering if you gaiz had any recommendations. I want a nice fitted navy blue suit for a reasonable price. I've been told I have a very nice tie collection but I'd like some new ideas on that as well.

Anything for bigger guys, I'm 6ft5 240 I have a well fitting trenchcoat from JCrew but would they have a suit that fits me? I've seen their suits they didnt have any that come anywhere close to fitting, do I need to place a special order?

At your size, I would avoid it. I'm a little smaller than you and have never found pants. If you have a garment district in your area, try that. You should be able to buy a suit and have it tailored for the price of just the suit at a normal place. They may even throw in some accessories too.

IMO... a suite should be bought to wear for only a couple years since styles change fairly regularly so you don't want to be stuck with something expensive that's going to be out of style soon.

Pants are EXACTLY my problem....I'm a 36-38 waist and 34-36 length, that ish doesn't exist apparently

You couldnt be any more wrong.

Mind elaborating? I guess if you wear it every day, then yes, get a good suit and spend some money on it. But if you're getting it just for interviews and funerals, then you're going to spend $500+ on something you're going to be wearing a couple dozen times.

I've heard youre better off getting a reasonably priced suit and just getting it tailored how you like it. Instead of spending tons of money on a super high quality suit...unless you have that kind of money

Marshall was closed apparently their employees couldn't get gas. JCrew had some nice stuff but none of the pants fit they told me to order online.


Do I have to hit up the Steve Harvey/ MJ collection?


I may have to just go to a taylor and tell them what i want

No lie, the clothes make the man. Ive gotten a lot of compliments for how I dressed this year but I gotta replace my white coat and dress pants with a full suit.

Im familiar with Zara, like most stores none of their lower extremity garments fit me. I can get shirts, jackets, coats at these stores but never pants and never a suit. # tall people problems

Go to express, get a cheap suit, find a tailor and play around with it....hopefully you land a good tailor, once you got the right fit, spend the extra money on something nice, Burberry, Hugo, TomFord or Jcrew, RL and then get those tailored to the measurements you liked on the test suit.

I doubt any suit ever fits perfect off the rack....just know that, specially the pants.

I actually like the express suits a lot. But I dunno man, should I risk it? I'm tall as hell. Do they do fittings at the store? if I find one of their suits in a 38 34 I could prolly get it mended.

Go to Brooks Brothers. There are always sales. I got mine for $500 and it is dope. I'll be able to wear it four years from now for fellowship interviews too.

Got 2 Slim fit suits, a Grey Calvin Klein and Navy Blue Ralph Lauren and they surprisingly fit perfectly.

NT fashionistas would turn their nose up at you, but overstock.com sells Calvin Klein, Sean John, Kenneth Cole, Nautica, etc. suits for the low, use ebates, buy a 10% off coupon off ebay for $1, come out to under a bill and get some stuff for your apartment too. BTW, I wear a 40/32, sometimes 42, but it's hard to find 32 lengths so I end up getting 34s in a lot of brands.
