Not defending wayne and I dont think any of us should care what dude has to say or be surprised when he says something stupid. But I think whats upsetting a lot of people is Wayne's delivery of his opinion. If we get past the initial shock of him coming off so out of touch I think you can unpack what he is saying.
To me it sounded like he was being dismissive of the phrase "Black Lives Matter" more than he was being dismissive of black people in america protesting police brutality. He is like a drug addict tho so maybe he just cant articulate or he doesnt care to articulate his points better. Him saying call it what it is, "policeman shooting a black person for no reason is effed up" lets me know he isn't totally blind to whats going on in America, and he still has a sense of whats right and wrong. Him saying he only is interested in things impacting him and his family.... I mean. How many Americans can say the same, if they do say the same are they horrible people??
I think he was trying to come off as smart aleck and bigger than the issue tho by again referencing that he is black and he his successful, and much of his success comes from white ppl, therefor his black life matters and others in his same position life matters, but again to me, that is attacking the phrase.
