My dudes...ur boy almost died yesterday :lol:

Went for a hike at Skyline Drive in VA (one of the most scenic locales in the US.)

While walking, a bear crossed right in front of me and my family. That bamma was at least 600 pounds. I never seen one in wild, let alone 10 feet from me.

I kept thinking I was gonna go out defending my family, but like Leo Dicaprio in the revenant. I froze up. Luckily for me, the bear ran off...

Glad you're okay. I feel like I'm well versed on what to do if I'm confronted by a bear, but I've never seen one in person...And heck, I was just visiting some family in Montana and my wife's aunt has this beautiful place at the bottom of the mountains where bears probably wouldn't be a surprise. We had just got home and I was unloading the car through the garage and kept some doors open. A big *** fluffy dog ran through the garage and charged towards the inside of the house right at me, but because of how the sunset was, it was just a big *** silhouette...I yelled cause it scared me. :lol: The hair on the back of my neck couldn't have been taller. Can't imagine an actual bear. :lol:

At least you didn't start throwing haymakers. Bear was probably just looking to get back home and didn't care about you so good thing you didn't provoke.
