Im obviously on the wrong forum judging from the responseshere, my budget is about £22k sterling – yes Im buying in the Uk andyes Imlooking for a used car, Im not like the wannabees who hire or lerase these typeof care I actually OWN my cars and I believe if the car is well looked afterand has a good history its better value.

its prob not the samekinda market as the USas petrol and road tax are much less in the US but toback up my point here are the actual cars im considering in order :

whatever I decide on I will post pics here for all thehaters to see, tryst me its not a lot of cash so stop the BS about ballin outtacontrol etc

M5 - prob gonna be the choice cus it ticks all the boxes forme and it performs well for a big car.

Ive seen hi milers can go under 20K but here is an avg M5 within my budget

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1330128.htm

Porsche Cayenne S - I drove the turbo for a day and it was bananas but i dontthink i could live with one, maybe the S tho.

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1822337.htm

Range Rover Sport Supercharged - really liked this but im not sure on the ride- for me it would take a lot of getting used to.

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1850513.htm

RS4 Avant - This car looks great - its only when your up close you notice thedifference with the normal S models. Drove well also so it might be acontender.

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1786343.htm

CLS55 AMG - not as driver focused as some of the other sports saloons but ifeel that way about all the AMG cars. Quite a thirsty beast also!

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1739163.htm

Maserati Qattroporte - Italian pornshow but i worry about the reliability and service cost on these.

The Mas are more rare but they can still fall under thepricerange

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1846373.htm

E92 M3 Saloon - A solid replacement but its outside mybudget

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1709748.htm

This was the cheapest M3 saloon I could find and its almost 10K over my budget.

Its a damn beast.
Not to many if any right hand drive models but I agree they are nice and fast, good value also for what you get.

OP, make sure you have money for maintenance and repairs. Some of these cars are out of warranty and will be quite expensive even with the simplest repairs.

Yeah one of the reasons Im not too keen on the SUVs cussuspension parts and diffs can be troublesome on big power jeeps. I did a lotof the routine work on My M3 - stuff likes brakes and oil change can bereplaces easily enough. I had a xenon light control unit go in the M3 a coupleof yrs back but picked a new one up for 200 bucks on ebay.

But I reckon an old Mas would be a nightmare if things go wrong - part of thereason Im sticking mainly to German cars for consideration as they tend to bemore reliable.
