Looking into JBs Future!

Whats going on niketalkers, Ive been curious about the future for the Jordan brand. In 5 to 10 years from now what kind of state do you think the brand will bein? Played out or going strong? Hopefully it will continue to flow but you never know. Maybe sharkleys will take over ,ROFL JUST A JOKE ABOUT THAT ONE

i think it will be going strong, but the retroing will eventually die as the new generation of consumers will have less interest in MJ

many of us have grown up watching him, but in 10-15 years teens will have no memories of MJ, only videotapes

I totally agree with this. I think we are already starting to see it with the consumer popularity of things like fusions and spiz'ikes. Iwas in line with some young guys for the xi/xii pack and they didnt know squat about J's. They were standing there looking in the window at fnl talkingabout how hot the 2.5's were....WHAT!? These guys never actually got to see the man play live so they have no idea. Being from the old school ofcollecting J's I feel like there needs to be an application filled out before you are allowed to buy J's.

At least the decent retro stuff. Let the rookies fight over nasty spiz'ikesand 6 rings.

As an 18 year old high school senior I will have to say I have no memories of MJ. But, I personally think that the fusions are aweful and a disgrace to JB.Personally, I hope the retros won't stop in the future because the retros are the only shoes I have any intrest in. When I was first starting to become asneakerhead all I wanted was jordans. Now, with all the recent releases I don't wanna come close to them.
Just want you to know that at least there is 1 young kid that is seeing the decline in JB

I agree but, I hope not as sneakers eventually yellow and crumble so if JB is smart they should continue with the retros.

I think they need to slow down there releases, and only do about one team shoe per year, a couple retro's, and one original. Not 5 different retros in 8different colorways each. IMO the shoes would be appreciated more, and also the demand would be greater.

I think that they have another good run like 99-2001 and then it's done. Younger people have no connection to the man just the jumpman now and some othergreat player might soon emerge with his own gear and sneakers.
