Did Christian always wear dark colored clothing when he made appearances on the island?

I was watching the re-cap of last weeks episode and when he met with locke in the chamber, to add to his already sinister demeanor there was alot of play onhis eyes being dark and covered in shadows. Also he was wearing black pants and shoes since I guess he was known for his white shoes?

Maybe i'm looking too much into this.
