I see people talking about numbers but the 1st ep had over 10m views, that's a blockbuster by premium cable standards.

Yeah I see a lot of ppl assuming cuz they didn't like the show or couldn't finish it that it did not do well ratings wise.

Total nonsense. It was a hit on HBO and it was hit when it was on HBO Max.

The show was a success. Viewership had nothing to do with the cancellation.

I thought Watchmen was only supposed to be 1 season and the show creator wanted it to remain just 1.

It was never billed as a limited series the way HBO usually does.

The showrunner, Misha Green, said that she'd already began writing the framework to continue and that it'd largely come down to HBO.
