Madlib is indeed a genius, i believe there are still producers above him only because they have been producing longer and have a lot of great material out. But madlib is very prolific and does/has made so much quality in one year, considering his catalog as a whole, soon he should get recognized as a legend which in my eyes is already a legend but i dont think he will get recognized for his beautiful music he has produced since he started.

Oh wait you said rapper/producer. That's a different argument. PPL need to set some precedent and come to an agreement on what qualifies as a rapper/producer cuz NaS has produced and he's a better rapper than everyone mentioned here.

3000 is best rapper producer to ME. you can dispute it but i don't know
