Jordan was 20 times as much of a jerk then Kobe was/is. Jordan had the luxury of playing most of his career in the 80's and early 90's before youtube, tmz, and everything else. plus Jordan knew how to work the media, give them a smile, say what they want you to say, and they would never post anything about his bad side.
it doesn't take anything away from his accomplishments on the basketball court because he's still the goat imo but it is what it is. some dudes put the man on a pedastal on here.

No damn defense that MJ played against in the Finals was as great as the Celtics. Celtics>>>>>>>>>>>>>any team Jordan played.
i loved MJ too, i still think he is the greatest, but some of you just just bad mouth kobe.
People seem to forget MJ would be guarded by, Russel, Majerlie (sp?) and some old Lakers.
and this is NT, so obviously evryone is on Mikes D

The reason majority of people give MJ a pass because he's being himself. MJ has never acted fake or did something just for the media and thats what I feel people appreciate.Originally Posted by Cedric Ceballos 1995 Lakers

Jordan had the media, Nike and a movie to give him a positive image. If MJ played in todays era then his gambling, womanizing and attitude would of been more exposed and scrutinized. If Space Jam was an accurate portrayal of MJ then he would of punched Daffy Duck, called Buggs a flaming F-word for a gay slur and had Lola Bunny waiting in his hotel after all night gambling with Yosemite Sam.
Jordan showed his real side during his HOF speech and people were shocked.

Pretty accurate, but at least he still wouldn't have demanded a trade from the Looney Tunes and would only stay on the team after they traded Stan Podolak for the orange Monstar.
