Even though the Spider-Man reboot was a success does anybody else here hate the fact the marvel is gonna reboot so many of their films.

Well Blade and Daredevil weren't made under Marvel Studios so they want to make their own versions. Can't wait for another Blade movie. Loved the first two.

The new Xmen movies aren't even a reboot anymore since Fox is connecting them to the older ones.

Was Hulk a reboot or was it just a new movie with new people casted?

FOX is going to reboot the Fantastic Four so they can keep the rights to it. I think this is there last shot at trying to make money off it. They may try to connect it with the X-Men universe this time around. The X-Men aren't getting rebooted. Too far gone, there was a soft reboot attempt with First Class but Singer came in and is trying to connect all the dots with DOFP.

Marvel as of right now have no plans to make a Daredevil or Blade movie but when they do it'll be a reboot along with Punisher and Ghost Rider. To me they should do it. They all sucked except the first two Blade movies and the first Punisher was just okay. Hulk surprisingly was not rebooted by Marvel, they connected the origins of the Eric Bana version with the Edward Norton one. No plans for a Hulk movie in the future either.
Why not just give us dead pool already
There's a Deadpool script. FOX waiting to pull the trigger on it. He might be in the X-Force movie but I dunno which would come out first.

Yeah they just recast and changed some of the origin.
blade under marvel?
Yeah.

Marvel just got the rights back to DareDevil and Blade. Still haven't heard of any reboot.

What X-Men reboot? The movie rights still belong to Fox.

FF4 already going to rebooted, I dont mind that. I NEED Marvel to get back the rights to The Punisher, DD, X-men, and Ghost Rider. I believe they're the only ones that can do it right. Why won't anyone ask Kevin Smith for concepts on these tho?

They got the rights back for these and Blade earlier this year. Mostly because a good version of these films would not be kid friendly. They are not getting the rights back to X-Men until those movies stop being profitable. Same with FF and Spiderman. I don't see Sony being able to pull off another reboot with Spiderman so they will probably stop after Amazing Spiderman 4 in 2018 unless Venom does well. Then they can keep the rights by making Venom movies.

My fear is at this point it doesnt matter if Marvel gets X-Men, F4, or Spiderman back at this point. When they get it back everyone will be tired of these movies. So Marvel wouldn't be able to do anything with it for at least 10 years.

Even me, as a comic book fan, I don't want to see the Origins of Spiderman or F4 for a third time. So there is no way the general population wants to see that. I havent been paying attention to X-Men for a while now but if it is truly getting a reboot, then I can't imagine the general population wanting to see it again. The only hope for Marvel when it gets those franchises back is to maybe reboot the series and skip the origins. Maybe mention it, but no one wants to see Peter get bitten by a spider again. Just skip the first 10 years of these heroes lives.

I hate the new spider man reboot solely for garfield being cast as Spider-Man.....dude makes the character too cheezy.

As for movies like daredevil.....I wished Marvel would have kept with their "Marvel Knights" line: Punisher, DD, Dr. Strange, etc.

it would have been dope if those individual movies culminated into an avengers type movie.....My hopes would be a Defenders/Secret Defenders movie where they take on someone like Dormammu and other villains. Could be dope.

I dont see how Andrew Garfield as cast could even be a problem. Spiderman IS cheesy. Although Spiderman 2 is my favorite Spiderman film so far, I feel as though the Amazing Spiderman is going to be a better series

Keep in mind that I liked ASM but Garfield looked more like the "cool hipster kid" than a dork/nerd that Peter is suppose to be.

How is spider-man cheesy? Just curious.

RFX I agree.

MoS sucks though.

Holla.

As for reboots, I think Marvel believes that their audience is smart enough not to reboot some of the more popular characters.

With that said, I wouldn't mind seeing a reboot or a new origins film for Daredevil and Ghost Rider, I feel those two hasn't really gotten their fair share of good writing and can benefit from starting over.

F4, Hulk, Blade, etc... doesn't need a new origins because everyone pretty much knows how they became to be, well maybe not Blade exactly but his character is simple enough that Blade1 worked well w/o showing how he became what he is. Hulk is not set for a reboot anytime soon since it is just part of the Avengers world right now, I still believe he has a solo film on schedule after A2, likely to fill the spot on Marvels empty film opening schedule.

SpiderMan, seems like they have a gigantic plan for the series, the director is already planning up to the 4th film and still talking about a bunch of villains and cameos and how it can extend to different places. I wouldn't be surprised at a solo Venom film in the future. Not really sure where else Sony can go with the extended Spidey universe though, they have mentioned a Morbius film before but I am not sure there are any interest in that today.

Didn't know that. I hope they do a better job then. Even without them being kid friendly, I think they'll still do well.

Spiderman is the original Deadpool. Always wise cracking. Always has some stupid punchline to say and everything. Deadpool just took it to the extreme. Reason I like this series is they match his sarcasm a lot better than the original Sony trilogy.

The Incredible Hulk is a reboot. It has nothing to do with The Hulk (the cgi movie that took place in the grand canyon or wherever). That is what OP was talking about. They are thinking of making The Incredible Hulk 2 as part of Phase 3 but they are skeptical since most people didnt like the first one. Don't understand why. I loved it.

I agree with everything you said about Hulk, Blade, and F4. Pretty much what I was trying to say but you said it better. They can cut straight to the action with those movies. No need to see the origins. Same with Spiderman. None of them should have another origins story, even if Marvel gets its rights back. People who arent into comics know the origins of Hulk, Spiderman, and F4 thanks to all the cartoons, live action shows, etc.

There has been talks about a Venom movie since Spiderman 3. The way I see it is Sony will have to risk it to keep the rights to Spiderman. The Amazing Spiderman did the worst at the box office (but still did well) because too many felt it was far too early for a reboot. They will not get away with it again. There is no interest in Morbius.

As for X-Men, Fox will run it into the ground and when Marvel gets the rights back in 2037 they will be completely unable to reboot it.

Last I checked The Incredible Hulk was a success box office wise. Not a huge success mind you but they didn't take any losses. I figured the whole reasoning behind not doing more was cuz of the cost to do them. TIH was great to me to but I don't know about a Ruffalo version going on.

I don't really agree that when Marvel gets the rights back they'll be unable to reboot. They just need to find the right angle and story to improve it. Won't be hard. It's the main reason they haven't immediately come with a Ghost Rider or Daredevil reboot. They can have their own phases with the aforementioned 4-5 heroes they just got back.

I think Marvel can definitely reboot XMen, just use the original heroes and add Wolverine but don't center everything on him. Make it Prof X, Cyclops, Jean, Iceman, Beast and Angel, then add Wolverine. I would love to see more aggressive disagreement with Cyclops and Wolverine. Make it still about XMen vs. the Brotherhood but execute it better and give Magneto a better team and a more devious plan.

XMens started 13 years ago and by the time Marvel gets it, it might be in it's 20th or 25th year, if ever. So Marvel can certainly reboot it by then w/o a problem. It'll be for a whole new generation by then.

And Incredible Hulk isn't a reboot, not technically. It is still a continuation of Ang Lees Hulk, it pretty much picks up where the first one left off. The first Hulk ended with Banner somewhere in South America and that is exactly where Incredible Hulk started off. Sure things were tweaked here and there but for the most part, it is a part 2.

And you keep asking why people hate these films and how you don't understand it when you love it, well because it is all subjective. There are people who hate TDK but that is what most consider the best comic book film ever. And honestly, Ang Lees Hulk is the first and only comic book film (heck actually the only film) I have ever fallen asleep to in the theater. That is me though.
