Microwaveable food

I could understand Dwight Howard addiction to candy bars. I’m really addicted to Jolly ranchers. Like honestly I buy like (6 to 8 3oz bags of jolly ranchers). To make it worse the food court at my job sells them and I buy them at the dollar store. I gotta stop cause they are gonna ruin my teeth.

Everything in moderation.

But yeah I’ve been eating microwaveable food while I’m living in my temporary apartment since the stove hasn’t been installed for almost 2 months . (But I got it installed early this afternoon). From eating microwaveable food like chicken breast, roast beef, beef patties eating this stuff is not healthy no matter what. Even if it’s the health choice stuff. It’s just not real food. It’s a temporary fix for when u don’t feel like cooking using a stove / oven.

I can cook food, and since my stove is finally installed I’m going back to Making my own food and taking it to work.

Food addiction is never good too. Especially if it’s that science food. The food is engineered to almost make you addicted to it. Just have microwavsble food in moderation.

I also live by the motto if I buy food and if it don’t tatste good the first time I don’t buy it again. Ever. Not tryna waste money on something that taste horrible and not edible to my taste buds.

All steaks matter. let me know asap so I'm not steered the wrong way

Bruh OP was in the fitness thread talking a bag of nonsense bout how if you eat leas calories and workout less youll be healthier and live longer than if you consume more calories and do some form of exercise. cant take the man serious
wasn’t a recent thread bout starving a few days is good and also too much exercise for “white “ people bad

NT doesn't use microwaves? How you guys got time for the oven option on everything? Oven is like 35 mins...and a preheat...microwave is 4 mins.

single family homes, cars, and suburbs make people more fat, as well

I guess it depends on what you are eating.
When warming up good, like baked chicken, I use high heat and place it under the broiler to recrisp my skin.

Pizza, oven.

Soups, beans, pasta, all reheated on the stove.

It is very doable especially is you plan ahead of time.

I microwave cold coffee to heat it up. I mircowave my chicken and broccoli every day for lunch at work. If i don't have time to meal prep i bring frozen lunches and microwave them. I microwave left overs in general.

But my brueville convection oven is the goat appliance. I barely use my full size oven because that thing is the greatest invention ever

I don't have a microwave at my crib so if I can't make it myself or let the oven handle biz, I don't want it.

Alrite let's hash it out.

My take: Low calorie + moderate exercise = healthier than high calorie + lots of exercise.

I've gotten enoguh science on my side to make an argument. If any of you have science/studies on your side I'm all ears.

My only point is that stuff like ironman competitors etc are doing it for fun and not health. That level of exercise is hard on the body and unnecessary unless you are doing it because you love it.

Well wouldn’t this be person to person lifestyle choice. Like not everyone has an athlete body, nor does everyone has the same metabolism.

If you know what BMI( Body Max Index) is you should go by that to determine if your living a healthy life.

Everyone human being on this planet has free will it’s how you choose use it. I’m not gonna tell someone not to be fat nor be skinny. Or tell them eat veggies and put down that McDonald’s Hamburger. Like Eat what you like but don’t overeat or waste food. (That’s a Sin) eat in moderation and take care your weight or what food buy and ingest.

We all got pleasure food that we like to eat in excess. Just know that it can mess with your health.

I’m not a doctor nor a nutritionist but just eat well and you will live well.

I don't think it's that simple. People like to boil achieving good health into one pot, when there are many different ways to be healthy.

I think the science shows it is that simple when looking at an overall population. Sure, there will be variations person to person, such as a 6'5 guy probably needing more like 2,500 or something, but the principle of lower caloric eating with moderate exercise remains?

Lower caloric eating isn’t for everyone though let’s not forget everyone needs a certain amount of calories each day to just have good enough energy for daily activities. Going through a spectrum of people and just cultures and backrougnds of people we all eat differently. Yes having moderate excercise is good for you health but what kind of excercise?

Some people are diabetic, some people have health problems where they have to eat a lot to just even breathe. Not everything is equal as you kinda make it seem.

The Priciple of Eating In my opinion is this “Eat but don’t eat in excess or waste food”

There are people who go hungry everyday cause they don’t have the resources to even buy food let alone cook the food that is donated to them.

I try my best to dontate food to food pantries and giving a helping hand at local churches and food banks that provide meals to people who need this stuff. I live in New York City and you should see the ratio between the people who need food and the restaurants and some food markets that just through out food that are still edible and not expiered.

Same. We used to use food banks quite a bit when we first immigrated so we try give back now.

I know some restaurants that open up strictly for the homeless at a certain time once a week every week and let them eat for free. Think thats a great thing.

I must have the cleanest Microwave on NT, think I've used it no lie 3 times in the past 3-4 years.

Yeah I used food banks when something happen to me. Had to rely on them till I got healthy again mentally. But now I try to give back and voulnanteer my time at church’s and food banks. I’m not all that religious but I do believe God wants everyone to eat and have a good healthy long life.

Are these restaurants located in nyc? If so let me know I’ll can feed this to information to people who are currently struggling and are afraid to ask for help.

It’s real out here and I bear witness that even rich/educated people have food anxiety problems just as poor people.
