Why Millennials Are More Charitable Than the Rest of You

Millennials don't have a lot of money to give, but more of them give more goods and time than any other generation.

6 Ways Millennials Are Changing Charitable Giving

#1 – Millennials Are Always Digitally Connected
#2 – Millennials Are Always Sharing Information With Others
#3 – Millennials Care About Results More Than Institutions
#4 – Millennials Resonate With Stories
#5 – Millennials Monitor Social Media For Causes
#6 – Millennials Value Transparency

I think it’s reactionary behavior to not falling in line. Most people don’t like when you don’t just follow along.

We're the empathy generation. No other generation before us could relate to each other with the ease we can due to technology. We're also on pace to be the only generation to end poorer than the one before it so that factors in too. When you know what it's like to struggle, you're more likely to be willing to help other struggling people.

They probably do it to be able to post it online for their internet friends. I question the motives but the work is being done so I guess that is what matters.

Wanna gunna say this + probably get/got shamed into giving too.

Who’s to say that? If capable I’d rather help ppl.

bruh, You just answered your own question. CAPABLE would mean you have extra funds.

If I don’t have extra money (disposable income) and I’m barely scrapping by, I’m not overextending myself, only for my children.

Eh, we different. If don’t really got the dough (and sometimes I don’t) and I’m about to go spend the little I have on some ice cream and then I look over and see some hobo asking for money I’ma just give it to him/her instead. I don’t need the ice cream, but they may need the money.

I’ve given $10+ on numerous occasions. I worked as hotel bellman for years so trust me, I know all about generosity. But for those 4,5, or 6 months out the year when I’m struggling sorry. Not doing it. Go walk up to the guy driving a Bentley, Ferrari, or up to date foreign car. Cause I ain’t got it.

you gone be just like that hobo, you keep giving away all your money like that, knowing you’re struggling to make ends meet.

But humanity.

Hold or have? And are you going through a tough time financially?
