But humanity.
Well, no. There are certain variables to figure out before deciding. As long as you aren't being an ******* about it, it should be understood either way.

But humanity.
Ok boomerI hate being labeled a millennial just because I was born in a certain time period. F all that noise.
Do you feel like u should’ve been born in the 70’s?I hate being labeled a millennial just because I was born in a certain time period. F all that noise.
Eh, we different. If don’t really got the dough (and sometimes I don’t) and I’m about to go spend the little I have on some ice cream and then I look over and see some hobo asking for money I’ma just give it to him/her instead. I don’t need the ice cream, but they may need the money.
Not really. I don’t think much about it.Makes you feel good about yourself, don’t it?
Ehh depending on how I feel I might hit em like thisEh, we different. Millennials are so far into debt they don't consider saving.

Everyone is celebrating being poorer then their parents

The amount of times “I” shows up in your explanation says otherNot really. I don’t think much about it.
Goes back to my original post and being self absorbed. People are giving out of the kindness of their heart, they’re giving to look and/or feel like a better person. Which, IMO, is just as selfish as not giving. You’re using someone else’s misfortune to validate yourself. Residue from the social media era. MFers just trying to look a certain way, “right”.That’s why most of those people aren’t even homeless or poor.So what if it does?
What are some of those ideologies that u have? Not necessarily, but my ideologies are pretty far from what people my age believe in.
edit: At least where I live.

You really want to help out those less fortunate DO something. Volunteer, give clothes and blankets to the homeless directly.

Disagree. Millenials have more debt than other generations as they spend more wastefully which is why middle class is a harder reach.Millennials are poorer, at the same age, compared to members of generation X. Gen X is poorer than boomers at comparable ages. We’ve been in a 45 year period where attaining middle class stability takes longer and longer and becomes less likely to even be achieved at all.
Generally, poorer people are more charitable than wealthy people. Poorer people understand how capricious life is and they see people working extremely hard who can never get ahead. Meanwhile, people with a lot of money tend to think the world is a mostly fair, orderly and meritocratic place.

Ah yes, all that wasteful spending on things like going to college only to afterwards be underpaid and underemployed comparative to their education level so needing to rely on credit more to afford the same life that those before them lived.Disagree. I meant more along the lines of sneaker habits and eating out along with other materialisms of our time. Personal bankruptcy is almost a badge of honor todayAh yes, all that wasteful spending on things like going to college only to afterwards be underpaid and underemployed comparative to their education level so needing to rely on credit more to afford the same life that those before them lived.
ingot an old soul so I argue with ny friends about **** like this a lot.Yeah, I ain't got not data other than a personal observation. The data that I have seen shows millennials (those born between 1982 and 1996) have a lot of student loan debt but have much less consumer debt relative to boomers (those born between 1946 and 1964) at a similar age.
Now if you have a baby cousin, who is like 19 or so, and he borrowed a grand from you for "school" and spent it foolishly and has no plan to pay you back, that sucks and he should make every effort to pay you back. At the same time, the under 24 crowd (your prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain involved in judgement doesn't mature until about 25) aren't millenials and anecdotes don't trump data.
The headline of this thread ought to be, "people in their 30's are poor relative to their parents and have charitable giving patterns like poor people because systems have caused a great deal of downward mobility."
