Just so I'm sure who you are...Were you the one making posts about how your ex was trying to get you to sign over your parental rights and was also threatening to move to a different state?
Quoting myself here since it's confirmed that you are that same dude...

Leopards rarely change their spots. I don't understand why you would give into that broads wishes after the way she spoke to you and treated you. She tried to stop you from seeing your child and threatened to put a restraining order against you and you think its a good idea to have a romantic relationship with her. You deserve everything that's coming to you.

Another PM sent.
Deserve what's coming to me? How?

You seem to be missing the point here, and I don't think you'll get it because I doubt you have had a situation like this. And Im not referring to having a child outside of wedlock.

My son's mother and I have a lot of history. Despite what I may have posted in the past when I was in the heat of the battle, I still love her. She's done more good things than bad for me outside of this situation. She's essentially my best friend. Yes we have had intense verbal battles, but the rest I can't explain. It may not be healthy I know, but at the end of the day she still is one of my closest friends, as well as the mother of my son.

If you wanna keep this going, PM me.

I'm surprised Manglor hasn't posted yet.

OP, based on your past threads it obvious you and the BM being together equals disaster.

I know it's easier said than done but try to maintain a civil, platonic relationship with the BM for the sake of your child and try to build something with the other girl whom you seemed to have click with.

go with your new girl and pay child support.
be with your ex, work things out and keep some money in your pocket.

No she hasn't. You're only telling yourself this to rationalize your dumb *%+ decision

dude...

you don't need advice...op

you know what best for you so do it...

the kid and girl will be there and you can still play a most prominent role without being in that relationship....

Give couples counseling a shot with the BM first. Have her make a conscious committed effort to work through her own problems.

Thing is "Michelle" isn't even dying to be with me. I could try and stick it out with her and get myself burned in the long run when she throws me overboard again and then I lose both chicks.

My advice would be to go with the new chick, if you are in fact really telling the truth about her (quality wise not existence) then I feel you would have already left your baby moms for her.

You should leave both chicks. Get your life straight, and then come to a decision. How old are you? You sound insecure. You don't need a chick, concentrate on being a dad.

Welcome to a lifelong relationship with drama and complications. Enjoy.

A 2 parent household is not an automatic win.  There are plenty of kids in one who have crappy home lifes.  The parents that are sticking together 'for the kids' are not doing them any favors.  Kids know when it's a happy family.  All the fighting and tension is going to have more of a negative impact than having parents who are not together.  It just perpetuates the idea that messed up home lifes are the norm and that's how relationships are.  Like it or not you are going to have a relationship with this woman for the rest of your life.  The happy 2 parents, white picket fence notion of family is not in your cards though.  You have the make the best of it.  But you have how many years left of your life?  You need to think of yourself too.  It's not always going to be about your kid. If you do that, you're going to be miserable when the time comes that your son isn't as reliant on you. You can be a good parent and be happy with someone else (or alone) at the same time.

OP I was in a similar situation.

I stayed in a bad marriage because what made me happy was me being able to spend QUALITY time with my daughter. I just thought to myself, "I have to take the good with the bad," when it came to her mom. But enough became enough and I had to do what's right, so I moved out. I had to be happy for myself too.

My mom gave me some great advice. She said the key to everything is balance. She told me to make sure I took care of business and spent quality time with my daughter, but that I also need to do things that will make me happy for myself. So right now my daughter spends the night at my place 2-3 times a week, and a few other nights I have a friend that is down for me that I occupy myself with. And for the first time in a long time I can really say I am at peace, and I am happy.

Good luck OP.

^^^ Glad to see that worked out for you. Stay happy as you're already strong.

I'M SOOOO HAPPY  SOMEONE IS IN THE SAME BOAT

To tell you the truth, the way i see it is as long as I'm around my little one I'm happy. I do everything for him and I will always protect him. I don't feel like I can leave him alone for days at a time. I'd rather take the pain bc as stated from the beginning if you're man enough to put it in, you better be man enough to take care of what comes out. So in that case its both not just him. Some might disagree but who knows maybe one day i'll be like classy freshmen.

I just can't do with certain things she does and I feel like she is holding me down from doing bigger and better things.
