Most overrated city ???

That is like when I tell people that I like going to Utah to visit Park City. Some folks cannot wrap their heads around a black person actually liking Utah. LMAO

that whole area is sick, if you ever can get a group together to go check out the big moose yacht club for a place to rent.

it’s super nice but expensive but if you had a big group it would be cheaper than hotels for everyone.

You not finding ANYTHING in south Florida for $900 unless you’re low income, housing, HUD or whatever. I’ve seen efficiencies and studios here for 1100+. Housing is hella overpriced out here

Austin is extremely overrated. I’ve always said it’s only a cool place to live if you’re a white liberal. Absolutely no culture there and a small percentage of black people compared to the other major cities in TX.

You better PREACH! It is so sad to see and though I was born and raised in DC and still live in the area (though almost 30 miles away), I do not recognize the city anymore when I have to go there (outside of most of downtown, Georgetown and most of Wisconsin Avenue going to Chevy Chase). I have said SOOOO many times that the soul has been sucked out of the city, but it usually falls on death ears because most people I know here nowadays are transplants.

Attitudes like this kill me, as if there isn't PLENTY of land/places to see within the continental US.

I know a few people like this though.

I had this conversation with my brother because though he has traveled a good amount overseas, he has only been to a handful of states within the country that he is a citizen of. SMDH Me, on the other hand, have a bucket list item to go to all 50 states and I have been to all but 2 (Alaska and Hawaii.....I am more pressed to go to Alaska though than Hawaii and will only go to HI to cross it off my bucket list LOL).

I dont get it, even if you do the tourist stuff you will enjoy. . Ive had many friends from all around come to NYC and I do the tourist thing with them and they (and myself) enjoyed quite a bit. I show em around some of the less popular stuff, views of the city, places to hangout, shops etc and its cool.

If I visit somewhere new, im def gonna go tourist mode for the first couple.

OMG, YES!!!!! I was near Union Station on H Street NE a few weeks ago and I did not recognize it at all! I felt like a stranger in a city that I lived in for 27 years in a neighborhood that I grew up in.

Utah is beautiful; it’s just that the demographics make me extremely uncomfortable the moment where you step into a store and everyone turns around and looks at you like “what the hell are you doing here” because of black hair and tan skin prevents me from traveling to a lot of beautiful places throughout the country

A few years ago I was looking into the possibility of moving there.....like I was looing into jobs at the Bureau of Land Management's Salt Lake City location and was looking into commuting from Park City. As for when I visit, I tend to stay at the Hotel Park City because I have an attachment to that hotel and also since I am a Titanium elite with Marriott, I can get free upgrades to suites there. Since I always travel alone and I work for the federal government, I get discounted rates on lodging and it does not cost too much.

that would be a super cool job, I want to go to their headquarters in Montana and get all the old maps of my land and see the history of it and nerd out.

yeah it wouldn’t be worth it to get that place alone. We rented it out with like 15 people.

Some of the tourist stuff is pretty cool--WTC, Hudson Yards, Meatpacking, SoHo, NoHo, LES, West Village are dope AF. Great music, great food, great women, great shopping. What more could you ask for?

Re: Utah Undefeated wrote an article about it. Never been there so I can't say with certainly, but I probably couldn't do it. Same time, I live in Oklahoma and when I travel people are suprised when I tell them there's no shortage of black people here.

You know gates don’t matter in the southeast region, all types of complexes got em from luxury to bottom barrel and most don’t eem work …But shout out to yo for coming up on that price and space
