Multiple Choice Exams

Multiple choice exams are the easiest. Statistically you have a 1/4 chance just by guessing. If you did know the material and eliminate answers there is no reason you should get anything less than an A.

Yeah, but you've got a 75% chance of getting it wrong - even if there is an obvious stupid answer the odds still aren't that great.

I would much rather have short answer questions - at least there if you know a little about the subject you can pick up a few marks.

^it's amazing the difference in the US and the non US education systems.
I've been in both over my lifetime... and the way they taught in the non-US school was moreso focused on really learning.

your answer to what exam you prefer just highlights that fact.

well actually i missed like 6-7 one of the times i took it. but i took it twice, so superscoring my best sections it came out to like 4 missed questions, and maybe 2 skips.

Not sure what you mean.... if you're implying that multiple choice exams are the best way to measure someone's knowledge on material... I can't say it is, but it is what's used the most.
