Radar detectors are a waste because most police departments use LIDAR. Which is laser and if your radar detector has a laser detector, its not going to tell you the cop is pointing the gun till he's right there.

What you need for LIDAR are laser jammers.

But to have a radar detector as a compliment to your laser jammer, would be ok.
