I'm not at this point (yet), but he didn't really rep what being on the Brand is supposed to be about, and kinda came off more as a selfish, disinterested, and underperforming shooting guard ready to bolt town.

At least Ray, Melo, and Wade repped JB well during these playoffs, and Ray's still going strong!  They need to give Allen some sort of lifetime accomplishment award for ALWAYS being exactly what a JB athlete is supposed to be and never douching out, on or off the court.

^ or they could just give him (Ray) a decent pair of JB kicks (or at least a decent colorway) for the rest of the playoffs. If he sticks with the Celtics, this is his last shot at a ring (or close).

His current pair is just plain ugly, and he's been wearing them for too long already.

Anybody else keen for a crazy pair of Celtic 12's?

I know he isn't the marketing force he once was, but come on Jordan give the guy some decent kicks!

Oh, and I don't believe Melo 'repped JB well', given his talents.

What about Quentin Richardson for the last 3 seasons? He only started to pick it up this season - getting traded like 5 times in one off-season really woke him up.

Along with Bobby Simmons, Jared Jeffries and Juwan Howard. Are these guys really Jordan Brand worthy? Joe Johnson is way more worthy than those dudes in my opinion.

The hole was wayyyy to deep to dig out of and an opponent wayyyyy to sophisticated to underestimate. Tough luck Cavs...but as Mo Williams demonstrated walking up the ball instead of showing at least a sense of urgency and fight at 30-35 seconds left in the game...the Cavs still have loads of growing up to do!

Lebron is now gonna hold the basketball world "hostage" and he and "his team" are primed to go the extra mile to get James what he wants...Shamefully imo, you would think that this sorta behaviour would've been exercised by a naiive and younger athlete (ala Kobe Bryant in his younger days) and not a worldclass MVP chasing  the legacy of the greats...It's all well and fine to demand what you deserve but if what most analysts and sources say are correct, the blameless "I spoil [my team] with my play," billion -dollar chasing, Chosen 1 by far, has developed a dreaded narcissim which will possibly turn a lot of followers against him....And I see a continuation of losses in shoe popularity to Kobe right up there too...

Seeking #2 in 3 years, Pierce and his now EXTREMELY rejuvinated and confident team have proven the mid-season nay-sayers wrong and are ready to challenge for a return to the Finals. (Big up to Danny Ainge for staying put and not trading Ray and others at the trade deadline)

These guys from the 90's played their hearts out and were never distracted about the business and marketing side of things.  The same couldn't be said about this generation now.

really? jordan didn't win until he had a robin (pippen who was a top 50 ALL-TIME player) to his batman as well as a few alfred's (h.grant who was a very good 4, bj, pax & cartwright) the fact is though this current incarnation of the cavs is very good, they aren't a great team nor is there another player of note that is a legitimate big-time talent to get by when LBJ is having an off-night...so i really don't get all the criticism as far as him not winning a chip yet, is he supposed to win it alone and in spite of the seeming ineptitude of his head coach???

A lot of y'all are suffering from that little man syndrome.

Bron has made it known from the jump that he's trying to be a billionaire. He's also said that he's about winning.

Neither of those will happen in Cleveland.

I 'm just expressing my point of view and don't mean to start a heated discussion with any of you (if you're Lebron fans).

Fact is that he has been regular season MVP for two straight years; this year's Cleveland team was better than last year's yet they got eliminated in conference semi's.  Moreover, it didn't take much for a supposedly washed-up Boston team to figure him out and neutralize his attacks.

And if you want to talk about supporting cast, does the likes of Pippen, Rodman and company take away or contribute to Jordan's competitiveness to win? Do you remember the "Flu game"?

I like Lebron James, he's a very talented basketball player and a supernatural athlete but that's about it.  He couldn't thrive and perform under pressure and as much as he's fun to watch he's not a winner.  He's been in the league for 6/7 years now, all he's selling is a promise to win- an ideal.

Players who are proven winners don't need cover-ups, like how he covered up Jordan Crawford's dunk-on.  His reputation was only that much on the court that day.  Guys like Jordan can get crossed up, scored on and blocked by, they have wins on their resumes that overshadow these kinds of petty things.

Outside of being a prolific scorer, Jordan didn't accomplish anything at 25 years old. I remember when Jordan played his 1st all star game he was decked out in gold chains and jewelry and all the vets were pissed off him. People forget how much people and the media questioned Jordan because he was just a scorer, only looked out for himself, was a bad teammate, and didn't make his teammates better. All this criticism laid on Lebron is very similar to what Jordan faced before 1991. Given that we live in a 24 hour news cycle and extreme second guessing and questioning (something Jordan was fortunate not experience to this degree), I think people are a bit myopic.

I'll take this a step further, when Shaq left the Lakers and before Gasol, people were questioning Kobe. Kobe's didnt' have his competitive desire and became quite petulant, as well. He got panned by everyone. It's amazing what a player like Gasol did to Kobe's legacy.

People don't give the Celtics credit. They blame Lebron, but the Celts came to play and played like a team. When healthy, they will be tough to beat. This Orlando/Celtics series are pitting to the best playing teams right now. Should be fun to watch.

Lebron knows what he has to do. He knows he's in his prime and he's smart as hell. He'll make sure he gets his Robin (ie. Pippen and Gasol) and people will forget about these losses...well except for the city of Cleveland if Lebron bolts.

Naw, the world's way more global now than its ever been with the internet and international marketing efforts.  LeBron can win and become a billionaire in Cleveland, especially if Bron's bud Warren Buffet can become a billionaire in Omaha, Nebraska (dude still lives in the same house he bought in Omaha over 40 years ago).

Chicago is the only non-Cleveland option that makes any sense.

LeBron just needs a better supporting cast than that slop he's had to deal with thus far (Mo Williams has always been inconsistant garbage, and did we really think Anwan Jamison would be the savior the media led us to think he would be?  Overall, Jamison's been a so-so NBA player after a great college career, and couldn't even start in Dallas.  He has never been a superstar.).  Check out Bill Simmons' latest piece on LeBron and everything will make better sense.

Cleveland or Chicago are the only options that make sense for LeBron.  You can make money anywhere, but winning and loyalty is what LeBron's been about since day one.

^^ I would have to disagree about Jamison. He's a great and talented player that's been on sub-par teams for most of his career. He's definitely an asset to have for any team. No, he's not a franchise player but he's definitely a good 2nd and 3rd option to have. I think his time in Washington showcased his talent -0 good for anywhere between 18-25 pts per game, and 8-10 rebounds per game. Definitely a great player and veteran, Washington just didn't have the right pieces.

In terms of Lebron wanting to become a billionaire. Dude has money coming out the wazoo. Although money is a factor, I don't think money is his primary concern right now. He knows the money will be there for life, but money can't buy him a championship. He's going to go to a team that has the right pieces of the puzzle to get him to the NBA Finals. Cleveland is close to that, and I won't be surprised if he stays. Knicks? I live in NYC and would love for him to be here, but I just don't see that happening considering the lack of supporting cast he'd have here.

I know the allure of going to the Knicks and revitalizing the Big Apple must be extremely tempting. If he becomes a Knick, MSG will be electric. They might not win a championship, but they will be sold out and be relevant - something they haven't been for a decade. Having said that, I just don't see him in NY. I have to think his TEAM knows the cons of going. Wouldn't a nucleus of Rose, Noah, and Lebron be scary? Trade Deng and Hinrich for another low post scorer, and you have a great team that will compete for championships. Or, New Jersey? A top pick (Wall, Turner possible), Lopez, a big-time FA, and Lebron ain't too shabby either.

I also wouldn't be surprised if he comes back to Cleveland. Better supporting cast than NY and he has his comfort zone. I could see him to a 2-3 year extension with the Cavs again. He'll be just 28 and still in his prime.
