Watching the Nets game last night, something that always bothered me all year continues to rear its head.

That’s Kenny Atkinson’s minutes distribution.

76ers clearly have the more talented players.

Simmons & Butler 38 minutes. Tobias 36 minutes.

Kenny out here playing DLo 30. 28 for Dinwiddie. 26 for LeVert.

You’re outmatched. Why the hell are you managing minutes?

This is all true and I’m hoping Atkinson doesn’t change his ways this series

Nuggets putting the regular season together like they did was really, really impressive, and deserves recognition considering the age of the team. Regular season success doesn't automatically translate to postseason success though, and some teams are better set up for playoff basketball than regular season. Nobody thought Cleveland was the 4th best team in the East last year, or that Houston was the 4th best team in the West this year.

Denver is suffering from not having a ball handler that they can rely on every single game. Murray is good, but it wouldn't be surprising if he went for 35 one night and then 8 the next.

Golden State and Houston are on a completely different tier than everyone else in the West, because they both have at least one of those guys, and then have the defense and shooting on top of that. Everybody else is pretty similar and has holes.

They need Mike Conley.

The youngest team in the NBA wins 50 games in the west while gaining playoff experience is a successful season. When’s the last young team to strike gold the first time in the playoffs?

Still rejecting your deposits
Success is subjective. Is success making it past the 1st round? Or anything less than an appearance in the conference finals failure?

If it’s the former then the upstart ‘01 Mavericks upset the seasoned Jazz in the first round on a Calvin Booth bucket in the waning seconds of the decisive Game 5. CALVIN BOOTH.

The ‘04 Heat took the top seeded Pacers to 6 games in the ECSF.

The ‘05 Wizards got to the 2nd round and lost to the Heat after an 8 year absence.

The ‘06 Clippers took Steve Nash and the run and gun Suns to 7 games in the WCSF.

Deron Williams and the Jazz made a shocking appearance in the WCF in ‘07 after taking out the Warriors who made even more shocking news by upsetting the 67 win Mavericks in the 1st round. That was the Warriors first playoff appearance in 13 years.

CP0’s first taste of the playoffs ended in his Hornets taking the defending world champion Spurs to 7 in the WCSF in ‘08.

The ‘11 Grizzlies took care of the top seeded Spurs in 6 and took the Thunder to 7 games in the WCSF.

The ‘12 Clippers beat the Grizzlies in the 1st round before falling to the Spurs in the WCSF.

The Warriors took out the 3rd seeded Nuggets in ‘13 and went 6 games against the Spurs in the WCSF.

The Knicks topped the Celtics in the 1st round in ‘13 before losing to the Pacers.

The ‘14 Wizards got to the ECSF after a 7 year absence.

The ‘17 Jazz knocked off the Clippers but lost to the Warriors.

It might not happen every year, but it happens more than one would think.

They booed the Eagles opening night after winning the SB.

 that's wild

Millsap for Conley even possible? I think they making similar money. But I don't see the incentive for MEM unless DEN includes a guard in the trade. Either way, DEN still another all-star away from WCF contention.
