I am looking for a laptop...what i need is a screen size of 14 or smaller, at least 250gb HD, Intel Core 2 Duo, webcam, and GOOD BATTERY LIFE
i was thinking of gettin the macbook pro...any other suggestions? PC or MAC which is best bang for buck

Im a fan of Mac. The new macbooks have 9-10 hr battery life. You cant go wrong there.
Try to get it on a student discount, you'll get a free itouch.

You know 98% of the responses will tell you to get a mac and that it's the greatest ever.

truth...

Well it depends on how much this man is trying to spend.  if you're gonna spend over a $1K on laptop then yes by all means purchase a Macbook (Pro).  But if you're looking to spend less than that, there are a lot of decent laptops out there.

check out dells 14z

i3 - @ $600
i5 - @ $800
i7 - @ $1000 +

I have an i7 Sony Vaio w/ 512mb gpu. I am trying to get 800$ for it but dudes on CL are offering me like 350 AND they want me to drive 90 miles to OKC to give it to them.

Sony Vaio VPC F11KFX/B. It's 3 months old, Win 7 64 bit, AND has the full Adobe MasterSuite CS4 suite retail version on it and Microsoft Office 2010. IM me and I'll hit you with the link with pics and info.

You can get that E205 on eBay cheaper, even brand new, though some are new refurbs. It does have WiDi, but at the same time I'm not a huge fan because 1000$ is a lot for integrated graphics. It's weird how Intel only put WiDi in certain processors though. Like I have the i7 in my Vaio, but mine is the i7-720m and the widi is in the i7-620.

And by the way the Samsung R780 has the Mac trackpad

damm the F series, i was hoping the Z series. Why you selling it for $800 thats a steal/deal for someone. its too big for me cause i commute to school.

I got it for a steal myself, just around 800$ but then decided it's a bit big for my liking as well. It's not heavy, but I'm liking the Dell Studio XPS 13 or 15 inch black with the leather with either the i7 or i5 and 1gb ATI and hopefully a blu ray. I've seen it go for around 750$ for the i5 and even 850$ on the i7 on eBay ocassionally.
