I hope the blue is even more blue in person. Grabbing those for sure. I started using a runners knot to get past the lacing issues and that worked. Now my only issue is the achilles pillows. I hate those things. But they're pretty small. I wish there was a way to like pop them

Great article. Definitely worth reading.

"This year, he is the 14th-highest-paid athlete in the world, having earned an estimated $82.1 million over the last 12 months. Those earnings make up the bulk of his net worth, which Forbes estimates to be $375 million. But the likely Hall of Famer has been making money moves for years.

His passion for fashion led him to start a streetwear brand in 2017, Honor The Gift. The label is now in more than 300 retail locations around the world and opened a flagship store in L.A. last fall. Revenue was a very modest $5.7 million last year, but sales were up 75% from 2021.

Like many sports stars, Westbrook has also been investing some of his earnings—he declines to say how much—into a variety of consumer industries, including food (Magic Spoon, Luvo, Pizzana), drinks (Flow, Poppi), muscle recovery (Hyperice) and social media (Triller). And an early interest in cars led him to acquire minority ownership stakes in five Southern California dealerships. “Since I’ve been in the league, I’ve been trying to find my niche,” he says.

But Westbrook is done dabbling. He sold his stakes in the auto dealerships in late 2022 for at least $15 million and is now building up his three-year-old Russell Westbrook Enterprises (RWE), which includes a recently launched digital advertising business called RW Digital that specializes in helping brands reach diverse audiences."

"Westbrook’s most successful investment to date was a $9 million stake in Tull’s holding company, Tulco—the largest stakeholder in insurance giant Acrisure—which is now worth more than 10x its initial value and has already earned him a $14.4 million payday after Tulco sold its stake in medical apparel maker FIGS during the company’s IPO."

Looks like Bam is playing game 6 of this Celtics/Heat series in some White/Silver One Take Twos. Thats crazy. He must really have wanted to go back to a model he had a lot of confidence in. I haven’t seen a lot his games lately but I havent seen him go back to the 2s in quite a while.

Game 5 he wore some all black 37 lows first half then switched to some white pink and purple 36 lows for the second half

And now,

Hopefully the 7/5 pair of WN0.6's on the dsg calendar is the Blue whispers :emoji_fingers_crossed:

Also, these similar upcoming one takes aren't bad. Might end up being my first pair.
The toe piece finally not being a different color helps a lot.

The news that his shoe line is coming to an end has to be soon. For a few months multiple 'generations' of one takes and why nots have been popping up on NDC and Footsites and DSG. Just clearing it all out.

Very odd he never got into this shoe..as if he wasn’t apart of the process. He’s lifetime JB, so it’ll be interesting to see what they do with him. Likely the CP, Melo route. They’re still paying Chris 4mil/yr as he choses to don a 4yr old silhouette that’s long discontinued at retail. Without concern he’s not supporting any of the brands offerings. It’s crazy they have so much capital to burn on athletes.

Didn’t know he did a life time deal, interesting.

Fatal flaw with the .6s is the lacing. I got the HTG and those bad boys just will not stay tied. I'd sooner start Monument Valley from the beginning than than trying to fully unlace them and relace them with different laces. I had to take back the orange and highlighter/tennis pairs back even though I got one pair for as low as you could hope to get em for.

I see some guys wear them (like THJ) once and then never again. It aint the cushion, that's fine. It aint the traction, that's fine. It aint the width or the toebox or the materials. It's the lacing. It's even immune to runners knot.

I'd planned to still try out the Khelcey Barrs pair (light blue with sunspot) but I stalked DSG cause they're the only ones outside of NDC releasing Why Nots in the states, and each new release hasn't been those. The Barrs pair (DO7189-400) released in Canada and overseas but in the legit places they've released overseas, none of them have a size 13 :smh: Not trying to pay over retail
