Can you give us any hints? Is it something groundbreaking? Did you hear from players?but if NIke is gonna do what I think there gonna do then I have no problem
For collectors, if you did not have the hard work of your collections to show, or did not even have collections in the first place, would you still have objections to Nike releasing on the field Oregon gear?
PleaseSayTheBaby23, Can you give us any hints? Is it something groundbreaking? Did you hear from players?
For the same reason people rock Jerseys and various other gear.numb nuts... It represents the state/team.
I like the Maryland gloves, but those spikes are a bit too much.
i couldn't have said it better myself. I haven't been able to get connects with players themselves, but but through the hard work I've put in to makes the connects I have, i've enjoyed it. I remember when the days when I had no connects and trying to get oregon pieces was rough for me, especially being that I dont live in Oregon nor ever been/lived there. I still have my very first piece too, those wont ever leave my collection. I've owned and sold some great pieces at that. but seeing everyone having things thats the joy out of it for me. Cleats Have been the centerfold of my collection, and it really bothered me when nike dropped them this year.
^
I see the California flag every where
only time I see Maryland flag is the Ravens or Terps
but California flag is every where I go I end up seeing it on clothes or somehting
yes I have objections on Nike releasing anything Team Issued....no matter if its Basketball, Football, Olympics, Soccor
does nike release samples to the public? no they are made in low quantities and those who have them have a Gem
If Nike woulda took the Jordan approach how they released the Ray Allen 13s in Boston then I would be for that. They did it last year with the Pit Crew 3s and it turned out great.
I dont exact details I just was told its gonna be
True. Cali and Colorado have a lot of flag pride as well. In Connecticut, I'm not sure most people could pick it out of a lineup. Then again, we also have no sports teams (we latch onto Boston or NYC, depending where you are geographically).
Why do you have objections behind Nike releasing team issued gear? Im just curious to hearing a different viewpoint. Do you object to the NFL/Nike releasing team gloves?
cause its team issued its specifically meant for the team not the public
you do know that there are things that are released to the team AND the public that are the exact same thigns.. there fore this argument is invalid.
cause most of stuff you have took the time and money to collect was special for the simple fact you love the school and Nike and the tradition of the equipment being exclusive to PLAYERS & not everybody and they grandmom having it.
The journey of me getting on good terms with a lot of Oregon players has been a experience in it self
Thats what made Oregon equipment so special besides the designs and inspiration of the actual product
im fine with the shirts, hoodies, and those kinda things being sold to the public
but the cleats, gloves, team issued hoodies, special Jordans, trainers and such should remain Team issued and not released to the public
but if NIke is gonna do what I think there gonna do then I have no problem at all with the cleats and trainers being released this year
pic from the Black Mamba
You live in Eugene??
That hoodie is sick! How would I go about getting that?
Im still gonna follow my dream and attend school out there and try to walk on the football team......there secondary needs MAJOR help.....coming out of Florida from a top school I believe I can make it on the roster
Team issused is exactly what it says TEAM issued
let me break it down
you can buy a De'Anthony Thomas jersey online or in the store but the jersey you buy wont be the exact thing he wears on the field
these are 2 different things
so yes things are released to the public BUT the TEAM issued things you are referring to 9/10 have different features or customizations
If the last 3 cleats were released to the public and the team, then arent they no longer team-issued, because they were released to the public.
Nike planned ahead of time to release those cleats to the public
the cleats they wear in the bowl game and the ones they wore vs Arizona St are team issued versions
but I have a feeling if they go to the BCS and win Nike will capitalize on it (think Lebron! they released 3 shoes cause he won 1 ring)
So then if you agree that the cleats they released to the public are not team issued, then are you still against Nike releasing that specific Oregon gear?
And if you are against team issued gear being released to the public then what about signature shoes like Lebrons or Kobes? Those are specifically made for certain players.
Im just really curious about peoples objections to the team gear released to the public. Thanks again for your opinion. You better believe it that Nike will capitalize on Oregon in a bowl game or going to the BCS. Nike is the king of capitalizing on publicity like that! That is part of what makes them so successful.
what school in florida do u attend.
you better get your coach to atleast put a word in, if not, you will be swimming up hill without a paddle.
