Nike Air 180 OG

So how many ppl have these in hand before dissecting pictures ? If you see the little holes through the clear bottom sole its because its clear ..... The painted parts IS the actual midsole . Those holes are from injection process and if you already dismantled 180 in the past you'll know what it IS . One thing for sure is there is no cantilever no more and there is more rubber under the heel ..... So it looks less translucent , the middle part is more translucent because its thinner and you see the color of the midsole . My size 14 pair should arrive in a few days .... From stockx FYI 😁

I wonder if the white center foam piece in the Air unit was inspired by the Air Max 270. I'd like to guess yes, but I'm pretty sure we're leaning towards the "doubtful" route and may call it a cost-saving and/or negligent move.

Sorry, but you're mistaken. On the '18 version there is paint between the bottom side of the Air unit and the top side of the outsole. The outsole itself is transparant but you cannot see through the air bubble onto the midsole. The 'lines' on the outer edge of the transparent part is where the paint stops. With almost every retro I had the problem was that the paint started to give and thus the bond between the outsole and the air unit broke. And there you have your squeak. Only the Lunar ones weren't really having this problem.

Foam pièce ? From thé side the bubble is complete and we Can clearly see the midsole holes .... So its perfectly clear , otherwise WE will not see it .

I'm not talking about the '24 retro, I do not know yet how that is made because I haven't seen it in real life.

Now hoping to have correct Force .... Here is my 180 Force Collection including a Charles Oakley Sample

Oh i see , the Force retro never had paint , why putting that ? To remove it if the sole has rubber flap that contour the air pocket like the OG it will be impossible to remove . It doesnt bother me as much as the overall shape and the size of the air pocket .... And i like it 😁

And even without white paint the first thing to unglue is this part , i modified a volt midsole to correct og spec opening for a 2005 black royal . Still sticky on the polyuréthane parts but on the bubble you could remove it by hand and it was a Brand New donor

Supposedly the air pocket is cover by hard window just like the original. I have my pair on the way and I will do a whole in depth video when I receive .

Yeah, but there was never a solid white square on the bottom of the air unit… The whole point of the shoe was to be able to see through the air unit from the bottom and the two sides hence the 180

Please do! Can't wait for your opinion on these! For the whole paint discussion, maybe this is a nice image that tells the story. Maybe Leon didn't have this image in his archives, it's such a simple design?? 🤭
