The cool blue hue is an OG colorway. I believe the blk/grey was a retro colorway. From the pics I've seen, Nike has done a good job on the 2025's with the right shade of blue, the overall shape, and comfort. The only differences I noticed were the OG's had "NIKE AIR" embossed on the heel. The 2025's are heat pressed. The second thing I noticed was that where the 2025 inner bootie connects to the toebox is squared off. While the 1992's inner bootie are oval shaped which matches the shape of the durabuck layer on the toecap.
Lovely breakdown. On my way to cop a pair today. Whew! Two pairs. One pair to train in.

They looked grey when they were shown on TV. Tommy wore them on Season 1 of Martin and you couldnt convince me they were "cool blue"

The biggest difference is that Nike continues to use smooth Durabuck/Nikebuck in the Cool Blue panels instead of the nappy suede/nubuck the OG used. They got that part right on one of the last retros, but the color was wrong.

I see on the 01's they used an embossed NIKE AIR on the heel. I wonder what made Nike go with grey instead of cool blue in 2001.

The crazy part to me is the corteiz pairs are embossed on the heel. One thing that also stands out to me is since 2015 Nike stopped painting the Nike on the sole. Most people probably don’t care, but to me it makes a big difference.

The 2001 pair was “B” maybe the reason/excuse for using cool grey rather than cool blue.

Nah, that was just a retro designation at the time. There were a handful of shoes at that time that got that B label. They just went grey because they thought that's what the color was supposed to be.

Anyone switch out their insoles? I was watching a YouTube review on these and they commented the insoles are kind of nappy. That could explain why they feel unstable, as the socked foot has no traction inside the shoe. I’ll check this out when I get home.

Props for posting this.. They were $100 flat at the SLAUSON back in 01.. Me and my boys just happen to be getting new white t’s and they had these in our face we boughtem immediately.i don’t think they had a release date or anything I’ve asked Nike to bring back the “B”’s back over the years since 2015 but they never do.. Everything else except these. These hit better than the cool blues I’m sorry.

Can’t decide if I wanna be tight that I missed the 15 off or that I missed the JD restock or both. Copped a double off snipes and wanted to wait it out bc that 190 stings but sz 11 keeps flying.

Yooo did the OGs have the N.A. on the heel like this too? I KNEW something was off when I saw the way they did it on the 25 pair but thought I was tripping.
