I do all mine like that. can't really get with that loose skateboard shoe look that a lot of people do
maybe it just depends on the person's style but normal lace looks better to me

As a bigger guytight shoes don't bother me but our pants leg opening is usually wide as hell so the shoe gets covered and I don't like that.
