I've seen this before on the Multicolor Vapormax Moc. I recently emailed him and he said he charges $150 to do the modification. I'm sure he could do the Acronym's as well. I'd love to see your results though if you attempt it!

Looks clean though. I think cutting the elastic should be pretty easy, just cut the threads carefully. I used to have a upholstery hole puncher that would work great for something like the lace holes. Need to see if I can find that or something with a small enough hole punch.
