I don’t think people are desperate for the shoe because it’s Caitlin’s, but pointing out how bad Nike’s become at promotion.

It took them over a year to get out CC gear. We’re in season 3, and no shoe. Even though they lost yesterday, it was a great game with a lot of eyes on it and she was wearing last year’s shoe.

They won’t release until she announces retirement. This is Nike’s new tribute strategy.

They're going to have to do overkill marketing to make up for this. And it still won't help because the economy and the shoe market overall being in normal to down territory is going to mean the shoe isn't going to move like it wouldve, and there won't be any crazy resales. So if you're Nike, do you put a bunch into this release, knowing it might not matter and still may not get you a bunch of sales and then there are a bunch sitting? Do you go with a strategy of releasing a normal amount and getting sellouts but then having untapped demand? Come out with one colorway for months, or release multiple colorways in the first few weeks.

I think the shoe is gonna have to have the logo prominent wrapping the heel or splashed on the toebox, and they will use that to help sell shoes.

Commissioner's Cup games are June 1-June 17th. Maybe? These things better look REALLY good, with all the already good looking shoes coming out that we've seen - Ja 4, Freak 8, Sabrina 4. Gettin dicey for nike

Nike would be idiots if they made all of them limited. There seems to be main stream demand for this shoe, their stock price is too low for them to not try to cash in on that.

If they make these limited, they really are trying to destroy the company. This is your cash cow. I don't really know how much or how well her logo gear has been selling, but I can't imagine they're struggling to sell her stuff. It's gotta be selling at least as well as Sabrina's clothes (I have a shirt I got on clearance), even if there's almost no chance her shoes will be as accepted and worn as Sabrinas are.

Even if their new strategy is to limit everything until they get the stock price back up, you'd have to think that this would be the one exception. Honestly at this point even having this discussion means they really did fumble the bag. All the people who criticized Nike for taking this long were right, if that's the case

I'd guess they would have an Indy rollout like they did for the navy Kobes, or what they did in SC for A'ja.
