I dunno. She just started playing well. She got right against my Mystics with the game winner and has since looked mostly normal and I think they've won their last 2 or 3 games in a row. The NBA season is over now and if they get the buzz going it should eclipse the draft (predictable) and summer league. Especially if her team goes on a win streak or she starts putting up crazy "I'm back" numbers.

There are a bunch of likely good basketball shoes coming out - the Sabrina 4, the Freak 8, Jah 4, Jordan Triangle and probably some others I'm forgetting. So they have a lot of competition out there but I can see the focus narrowing on her shoe just like how some other player on CC's team has the best game but instead they interview Caitlin anyway

It may not be record breaking like it mightve been had they released some hurriedly created product, but whatever this bumpy blue **** is, it don't look cheap and rushed.

You know everybody on her team is gonna have to wear her shoe or face the wrath of the more rabid fans of hers, so that's gonna be a story too.

I’m strictly talking about the design of the shoe. I’ll be honest, I’m NOT the target audience for the wnba so I won’t speak on the player herself. Couldn’t tell you what’s going on at this point. I’m not gunning for her downfall or anything like that, but like others have said, her show will be some type of Kobe variant shoe Nike has been churning out since 2020. Performance wise that’s not a bad thing. Design….. different story

That’s a good question. I guess the better example would be what isn’t one. The Jordan sig line comes to mind as something outside the bubble. The trash melo ball shoes too. It’s more than just a look, function comes to play too. The type of feel they’re going for. All seems to fall in line.

I don’t blame Nike. It’s the most worn shoes in organized ball. Gotta do a color by numbers at this point

I held these in person in May. Love the look of them and the tech I saw it the blown out midsole was dope. Heel and forefoot zoom with react, that pair was a sample but the over all look was awesome!!
