The foot apps don't guarantee anything. It still follows a raffle system. Once the countdown is over, the system will automatically try to reserve the shoe for you in your size.

However since it is a raffle, the actual selection of winners is random. It doesn't allow everyone who entered a few seconds to press 'Reserve' to get their pair. Everything is automated, you just have to wait and see what the results are on your account.
