The heel tab plastic is more like a thinner rubber. I'm guessing this will add to the comfort level?

Had that happen on some Why Nots last month. When the box arrived it had a sticker on it that said "Inspected by BlahBlah". Nike had used one of those boxes that basically can fold open at the bottom, and I guess it 'failed' and the shoes and everything came out. If you get your shoes, count on the box having been opened. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but maybe if you're lucky indeed it was just some weirdness and they will get there unopened.
