Nike falling on the sword here, but probably not entirely their fault.

Since the deal was resigned, we haven't gotten any Kobe shoes, only GiGis.... and the proceeds have gone to charity.

Nike is a business and needs to make profits, they can't produce millions of shoes for charitable purposes.

Some of this blame lies elsewhere Imo...
