Nipsey Hussle Thread; The Marathon Continues

Idk, this is one of the better projects I've heard in a minute. I've anticipated the Dom project all year and this edge it out.

U see us
Checc me out
The Weather
Drop Coupes
H Town
Don't take days off
4 In the morning
Face the world
Summertime I'm the cut less

I thoroughly enjoy all of those songs. Don't remember an album that in recent memory

Tape is cool but I don't really like the flow nipsey using now on most of the tracks, sounds like he's yelling. 9th Wonder did his thing with the Face The World beat, totally forgot about this song.

noticed that too, a little annoying but it's tolerable on a mix tape

Loved the tape. I actually was telling my boys its the hottest thing in the streets right now.

A friend of mine just put me on to this 30 minutes ago. I **** with it and Ive never really been a Nipsey fam but this a solid tape thus far.

Nips music isn't consistent as far as regular releases but you gotta realize dude doesn't just eat off rap. If you're in LA particularly South LA you know dude is into a lot of different ish so rap is almost secondary to his other cash flows.

Nip kept it all the way neighborhood in that complex interview :smokin

Dude repeated alot of the stuff I said in the first few pages of this thread :lol

"Hussle Is My Last Name"

This guy is an inspiration for more than just rappers, people who want more for themselves. He's getting my money when Victory Lap drops. No question.

that Complex interview

kept it all the way 1000

what else does he do other than the store he has

Nipsey kept it all the way real in complex. That may be one of the realest interviews I've ever read.

Here's a link http://www.complex.com/music/2013/10/nipsey-hussle-interview
Diss a ***** one month because you think his career is over. And the ***** turn around and shift culture and you ask for an interview. **** your interview, *****. Quote me on that.
Haha. Like everything this dude is doing right now.

How will he release Victory Lap though? Same way with Dom through iTunes and Best Buy for the physicals?

Peeped this too about how he said labels use rapper vanity labels to attract artists and make it seem like they are "one of you"

He also said Ross fought tooth and nail to get Nipsey some ownership but they wouldn't let it fly

Artists really only need marketing (which is optional depending on the path you want your career to take) and distribution

Crenshaw passed my expectations and then some. Even the features didn't disappoint. (To me at least, lol)

I listened to Crenshaw and its decent and he improved since his last mixtape but Im sorry I find no replay value to any of his songs. Nor memorable hooks
Dude is like the most generic rapper alive. Nothin special bout him. I apologize if I insulted anyone. Just postin my honest opinion.
