NT College Folks: Open or Closed book/notes exams?

The open book exam for the physics class I had in college was OD hard. Technically you don't have enough time to look up everything and learn how to use the formulas so you're better off just studying and learning the material.

for open book tests you waste so much time flipping through pages/notes you don't have enough time to answer all of the questions adequately.
