NT Federal Employees, what's good with your TSP's???

NUPE,

I just started myself and finished orientation a couple of weeks ago.  I didnt learn much at all about the TSP through that orientation.  I just talked it through with some of my friends and family.  To be honest I as am still unsure about it.  But I will be going into L2040.  Where are you stationed at?

I got 50% L2040 and the rest are equally distributed amongst C, S, and I.

I'm a Contract Specialist for the DoN. What do you guys do ??

Northern VA head, but I work in DC as a human resource specialist. TSP goes with the market those that had there's in G during the recession were the lucky ones but since the market is slowly recovering and a lot of us still got 20+ yrs to go we can afford the riskier funds.

Dog you are crazy if you think the G fund (government bonds) is returning you 5%.
No, 5% is the highest they match from what you put from your salary.
I thought you were saying the G fund was returning you 5%, but yeah i'm sure everywhere is matching a 5% contribution.  Since Jan 1, G fund only has returned 2.06%.  I work at Ft. Meade, MD as a budget analyst, but still live in NOVA.

All of us Fed Gov't workers in the DMV area should get together oneday and hang out. Hope that doesn't come off as too corny, but I'll be new to the area and though I have a few friends there already it would be nice to meet some more people.
