something similar happened to my boy at walmart. Except he was actually stealing. He tried to steal a paint ball gun & leave through the garden exit. as soon as he got to the door, a plain clothes employee came out of nowhere talking about "Can I see your receipt?" I had to pay $200 to bail him out

not only black. Latino too.D tryint to act like black people are the only ones followed. I'mLatino and been followed plenty of times.

I used to work at a retail store when I was 18 and my manager was a black guy named Sean. However, despite being black he was pretty judgmental of other black people. A lot of times he would follow minorities around the store when they were "suspicious" and even though I didn't agree with what he was doing, a lot of the times they would steal so I turned a cheek. But one day he came to me when these 2 younger black dudes came into the store and he tells me to follow them. They had just gotten into the store and didn't do anything suspicious so I wasn't ok with it. I told him "Why do you want me to follow them? They didn't do anything" but he insisted. So I said yeah sure I'll follow them
and I didn't and walked away going back to work...He noticed I wasn't following them so he proceeded to do some low-key stalking of these guys, and they ended up buying a few hundred dollars worth of stuff. When they walked out of the store, I hit the manager with the
combo all day

Happened to me at target. Dude tried to be slick and peek his head into the isle but withdrew it when he saw I was already looking that way. I mouthed off to him "Dumb ##$!* I got money to pay for my @!%@" and started laughing and left.

They are kids, in a store. I'm white and when I entered in stores when I was 14, with my friend, all dress "gangsta", yeah, you get followed. Not saying it's right tho, just saying that it might have nothing to do with racism

yeah it happens to me too, but in a different fashion. when i go to the airports i get asked to go into a separate line where usually i'm more thoroughly searched than others. I'm indian by descent, and was born in the US. i've got a US passport. we went to Hawaii a few years back and they had me go through a separate line where i was questioned by 2 TSA agents.
