I wrote all of these articles here: http://drbobsports.com/essays.cfm?cat=0 (Actually just the money management and advanced topcs stuff, the first part is a rewrite of his older stuff)

That's pretty much all there is to know about sports betting imo

you are a good dude for sharing some of you're knowledge of the game with others. I will be reading the blog regularly.

I saw the thread after you won the big Pokerstars tourney and just earlier today I was reading CardPlayer and was shocked when I saw the article about you. Not shocked in a bad way, more shocked that I had heard of you before.

What do you think the best game for somebody to master if they want to maximize their lifetime winnings? I've heard cash games are where the real money is won and lost but I feel like I haven't developed my game enough to play cash. SNG seems somewhat easier to me because I don't get hung up thinking about my bets as being real cash being lost and won.

What is the most ridiculous prop bet/side bet you have seen on the circuit? I saw on youtube that one player stayed in a pool for 12 hours to win 15k.

You should think in terms of buy ins and not actual money.

If I lose 100k, I didn't lose a Mercedes, I lost a buy in, its as simple as that.

You would definitely want to master cash games, mainly NLHE and PLO, because there's way too much variance in tournaments.

The best tournament players in the world will cash in about 15-20% of the tournaments they enter.

Just got the book you recommended me shipped today. I'm starting off playing live at the casino at 1/3 NL. I've gone once a week these last 2 weeks and won 300 each time which is awesome. Looking forward to reading the book and improving.
