Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to go part-time. That's why I'm leaning toward GW(they also have a healthcare MBA). I'm currently in the healthcare field, and would like to stay in it. I think that getting my MBA would be a great way to get a leg up. It would also help me get commissioned in the Medical Service Corps in the Navy. Unless I score a 750+ and get offered a scholarship, I think I'm going to stay in the Navy and go to school part-time. The only downside to McDonough is that their part-time program is 3 years, whereas UM and GW are only 2. Darden is too far away.

I got a 780 (50/48 split).
This was after COMPLETELY bombing my first practice test. I think I paused the math part and still only got like 680.
I would highly recommend Powerscore's Critical Reasoning. After going through that book, I fully expected to get every critical reasoning question right.

What I can advise is to target a top 40 MBA school or don't even bother going. There are a lot of MBA programs from less than reputable that can be a waste of funds and time. I would recommend getting 2 to 3 years of real good experience before sending off your applications with your GMAT score. That's just my honest opinion.

u must be very bright... got a 600 on my first practicet test.. just started studying. did terrible on the math.

Most of the top schools wont even look at you with out 2 years minimum of WE. The avg at all the top schools is around 5.

I'm got the work experience part covered-10 years in the military with consistently increased roles of responsibility. I'm more worried about the quant portion, I seem to be doing well in verbal. Any suggestions for getting a 49-51 in quant? Also, to get a 780(99%). You should have started your own club.

Getting an MBA is only 2 years in most full-time programs. Even part-time can be done in 2-3.
