Bryco/Jennings = CRAP.  They are ugly, crude, heavy, and cheap.  I wouldve panwed them off for like $40 but since they were your dads keep em.

Rossi's are decent, much better than a Bryco.  Don't expect S&W action with them, they do what they do, go bang.  Rossi was purchased by Brazilian company Taurus, who has a bad reputation of producing crap guns, especially their revolvers known to made of softer metals.

Thanks on the info

Another Q, What are some better quality brands I should look at for a 38 Special and a Compact 9mm?

Well I love Mil-spec type firearms, so that Steyr AUG clone would be the thumbs up from me...but then again you have enough long guns to outfit a militia

, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to get that nice Ruger revolver. What I have seen from you so far you'd probably get both eventually.

Snapped a few quick pics of some lovely intruder parting gifts while I was showing them to a friend..

Shown here is a bulgarian blacked out AK47 with 30 round clip. 12ga Mossberg 500A is also pictured. No fancy attachments just a heat shroud on the Pump

Nah that's exactly how I got it. A friend of mine gave it to me as a gift. I seriously doubt ANYONE in this thread is turning down a free AK. Espcially one that clean

I'll get pics up as soon as I get a free moment. I've been meaning to take a family portrait of everything at once. I'ev only got about 12 or so firearms total. Gotta start somewhere

Hey Elder and other experts,

I was thinking of adding something new to my small collection. I wanted to go the route of either a; shotgun, rifle, D.E, or revolver(something big like the SW 500). Now since I'm still fairly new to this, what are some suggestions or pointers you might have in making a selection in either of those categories? All feedback is appreciated and respected. Thanks

The Desert Eagle .50AE is my favorite handgun of all time.  Ever since I saw it in Robocop as a kid I fell in love with its design.  Now that I'm older and careful examination of this pistol, I've concluded that it too big and too heavy to carry, ammo is extremely expensive, expect to pay atleast $1.50 per round for the cheap stuff, and it can be quite finicky with certain brands of ammo.  On the other hand the S&W 500 is a revolver thus much more accurate and versatile when it comes to ammo selections.  The .500 can be loaded to exceed twice of what the .50AE can do.  The .500SW is much more powerful in terms of velocity and muzzle energy than the .50AE.  You can "downsize" the power of the S&W round to replicate the .AE but not the opposite.  Personally if given the choice I'd still opt for the DE because it has always been a favorite of mine and it looks coolor.

OGCalicat925,

You had an actual steryr aug? you sell it?  those things go for $5,000 up easily.

On the side note.  My buddy picked up his Socom M1A and that little brute is sweet!  There is barely any muzzle climb with this .308 and its damn accurate straight out-of-the-box with iron sights past 100yards hitting plate sized steel gongs.  Makes me want one now

I'd say you have a pretty good collection as is. Pretty well rounded. From a collectors standpoint one can NEVER have enough firearms...From a practical perspective as long as a person has at least 1 handgun in a easy to find Caliber, one long gun in an easy to find Caliber, and one Shotgun, then that is ideal.

To piggyback off of 206, the D.E. is a very unwieldy pistol, and for self defense it has limited application, but from a pure collectors standpoint it is a extremely nice piece to have. So ultimately it depends on what you want to do with it. Little known is that the DE is actually a fine hunting gun, also you do have options to change the caliber to .44 and .357, not to mention different barrel lengths and optics. Basically DE's got a bad rap from always being shown in movies and OG's holding it sideways to shoot (try that if you want...you wouldn't be able to fap for 2 months)

.

As far as rifles, what are you interested in? NATO style (M-16, M-14, M-1's), Soviet Bloc (AK's, SK's and variants), American Classics (Remington 700 series, Savage, etc), Teutonic (Heckler and Koch, Mauser), or the FN's and Sig Sauers of the world? Let me know and maybe I can help you come up with a few for the list.

Yea. That's what I aimed for when I first bought a gun. I bout a Glock 27 for me to carry (Which was later stolen by a so called "Friend"), then a mossberg for the house, then I bought the ak47 thats not pictured (Which is actually romanian, Not bosnian. I got confused =/) for everything. I think I'm lacking in rifles. Anything good I should look at in a .223 or 7.62 caliber that's reliable and fun to shoot? I was looking at the Beretta CX4 Storm Carbine. It shoots .45s and I got plenty of those! Anyone got an opinion on this firearm?

Okay FINALLY, after 2 hours of lugging firearms up and down 3 flights of stairs from their safe, snapping hundreds of pictures, then choosing the right ones for post processing, I am tired.

I am quite amazed at how the weather in Seattle just decided to change.  We had nothing but cloudy and rainy days for the past month and today all of a sudden we get some sun!  Freakin' sweat was running down my nose and onto my viewfinder when I was taking pictures.  I just hope the sun stays a little longer so I can refinish my deck.

Anyways here are ALL my firearms.  Yes, everything you see here was collected over 4 years.  I started off my with first firearm my dad bought me for 4th of July in 2006, a Remington 870 Express in 20 gauge and from that point on I went berserk on finding the best deals I can.

As I was setting up my guns my neighbor was having a bday party for his little kid. You can imagine all the little kids and parents saying "OMG!" when I was on my deck with an arsenal of guns.

Here are most of the pictures, I might upload more tonight if I'm not too lazy.

I'll start with a a timeline for fun:

I almost ran out of space on my deck for the entire picture.  I had to stand on a chair just to capture all of them.

You can only imagine what my neighbors were thinking...
