It'll be at my drive-in this weekend, but stacked with that Melissa McCarthy "Back to School" remake.
Hollywood really needs help finding some original ideas :smh:

What does the Me Too movement have to do with this film?

Everything. Ocean's 13 dropped 10+ years ago. They could've dropped this joint half a decade ago but they had to time it with the 'Me Too' movement.

I love me some Sandra Bullock and love me some Ocean's movies, but I HATE the fact that this is another gender-swap remake!!! So lazy and uncreative! If I was the actresses, I'd be pissed they didn't come up with an original concept for it.

it aint even like that dawg

Her other movie about murdered puppets looks lit. Raunchiest trailer i’ve ever seen at a theater.

Loved Ocean's 11, 12 and 13

This I will not see in theaters.
It's obvious that they just copied and pasted the characters from the Clooney ones and left off 3 characters(I'm assuming they couldn't get Helen Mirren for the "Saul" role and whoever to play a version of the Malloy Bros.)

They also copied so many of the shots from 11.

No David Holmes score, means the soundtrack will be buns.
What could've really made me want to see this if they nailed the villain and made a version of Terry Benedict. Like Charlize Theron or Carrie Ann Moss. Have Michelle Rodriguez play the right hand.

Anne Hathaway looks like it's gonna be a slapstick role, regardless of how everything went down 11, Benedict was always serious.

11 is one of those films I quote all the time.
Shame they got powerhouse actresses who I honestly LOVE, and it just doesn't look like it's gonna hit.
I'm definitely gonna be needed to be recommended by someone who has already seen it and knows how I feel about the Clooney ones, to tell me its worth a theater trip

I like the Ocean's movie. They're not groundbreaking or anything just a fun ensemble, this one is no different.
Only one i'm not really sold on yet is Awkwafina

and it's three things I love, heist film, Rihanna, and high fashion oh and Cate Blanchett, 4 things

I hope this is good because I like some of the actresses involved..

But nothing I've seen from anything related to this has, has done anything for me

Saw this with my lady tonight and it was aiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Definitely not worthy of seeing in theaters and can wait when there is a good stream on the Firestick. Without spoiling anything, my biggest dissapointment was that the heist was “too easy” and there was not a main villain to apply pressure to the group. If this was the same movie without the Ocean’s name, I would be willing to beat it would be a flop

Damn
WIthout spoiling, are any of the individual cons any good?
I read somewhere that they show at least bullocks character pulling some stuff off on her own and people were saying that they were pretty dope.

One thing I loved about 11 was how Danny busted in on Rusty's card game class and they just basically hustle topher grace and everyone else out of their money, without even being properly reunited. They just go in to the hustle, while arguing over(I'm guessing) the previous heist.

is there ONE scene like that? Where bullock and blanchett essentially work the room in a cool way?

I just read there IS a cameo by one of the, for lack of a better word, "original" cast members. I didn't want to spoil it, but if the movie is weak, ill go ahead and peak.

EDIT: Dammit, I shouldn't have read the spoiler...its one of my favorite characters.

I’m just going to go ahead and say this. This is maybeeeeeee one con that could of held their own with the original cast, and i’ll be interested in seeing if others agree when more time passes. That scene you referenced with Danny and Rusty, allowed the view to pick on the chemistry between the two in the triology. This movie strongly missed that. That solo scene you were also talked about with Sandra, was great planning IMO. It was something Danny would of thought of, however once you see the execution, it honestly took some points away. “Outside help” was needed and that’s why I took points off.

Damn that sucks, I also read that the heist is waaaaaaay to easy

Ocean's 8 6/8

This was a fun movie. Another Ocean's type flick. Went really smoothly with no big hiccups like the past ones. Just a few obstacles that were handled.

This was also missing a villain. Like scumbag snitching ex bf c-grade Bradley Cooper is not cutting it. It would've been so much better if they got the actual Cooper to play a slimeball again.

James Corden in this  One thing I'm not buying is he ever actually caught Danny Ocean.

Great Yen cameo by the end. Guess a female version of him doesn't exist.

All the ladies were fine and smashable.

EDIT

There was no scene like Danny and Rusty in 11 that establish their relationship in that unique way. Whoever wrote this I assume didnt have anything to do with the previous 3.

There were really no multiple cons within the main con/theft. Just a revenge plot within the heist. A lot of audibles and then a revealed extra heist. Thats why it all comes off easy.

I wouldn't say this was better than any of the other 3 but I wouldn't then say this shouldn't have been made. It has potential.

Quite frankly, I'd add some more star power. Some seemed to lean more to comedy. Get Viola Davis as an actual villain for the sequel, and add Halle Berry to the squad. Add Ann Dowd and Toni Collete to the cast.
