chris stewart was awful with the bat. Crawford with the costly error. Madbum was dealing em too. smh. The rain wasn't as bad compared to other parts of the city. By 1:30, it was pretty sunny. Found a pretty cheap parking lot on brannan and 4th $15 bucks with no traffic nearby at the end.

For the Giants to be able to improve their team at or before the trade deadline, they are going to have to make some difficult cuts. I have read that we could be in the mix for Hunter Pence, but of course that would mean we would have to cut Aaron Rowand or Pat Burrell (hopefully both), and move Schierholtz right back to the bench.
Im not as high on trading for Jose Reyes as some. Id rather have a middle of the order guy than another leadoffy type.
We need to make a few moves though. Even without Posey, we could still do some damage this year.

Kind of lame if you tell me, while there is definitely some All Stars on the pitching staff, I don't think any Giant should be voted in.

Iron Man......
Id love to have Jose Reyes, as most teams would.....but thats not our biggest need right now. We desperately need a middle of the order guy, even you would have to agree with that. Plus there are a bunch of other factors to consider (injury history, price, the lack of a contract, what it would take to get him, etc.) I apologize for not listing every reason that I wouldnt want him.....scratch that....why I would rather trade for someone else.
As far as the Giants/Red Sox alliance thing, yes its kind of lame. But the whole teaming up with another team to get votes is the EXACT same thing that effed the Giants a few years ago when Victorino was voted in over Pablo for the fan vote thing. Dont act as if this is the first time something like this has happened between teams.

Another great outing for Vogelsong. I love how everyone is talking about how tough of a decision its going to be when Zito is ready. Um....no....its really not a decision at all. One pitcher is pitching like a stud, and one pitches like a AA pitcher. Pretty easy choice IMO.

Didn't they putting Zito into the bullpen last season and he pitched worse than he normally does? Make his rehab assignment indefinite.
