The Thunder love Sabonis for the future, but as the postseason nears, prefer to have a tested vet in that starting spot, like Gibson.

This is so dumb. Sabonis IS the goods and a great 4-5 best player on any team in the future. Yet, let's just trade for Taj Gibson and try to make a postseason run where we have literally no shot at winning anything. It's not like the Thunder haven't experienced the postseason in a while either or something.

This was BC's first real test as a GM and he royally screwed it up. Noel for two second round picks

There is no way in hell he did not have better offers through the summer and regular season. The guy just panicked and rushed to get a deal done. Like some people here said, he could have re-signed him and traded him later next year.

Everyone here is saying don't pay a backup center $20 mil a year, but you are talking about a team that has not even hit the cap floor. We can afford to keep him for the next few years.
