He isn't as explosive as Derozan but he's fairly athletic and he needs to develop a consistent jump shot.
But he has a high IQ, can play off-ball, and is a pretty good playmaker for a SG/SF.
He reminds me of Evan Turner when he was in college.

RJ Barret reminds me of Will Barton. Versatile playmaking wings with high-awkward handles and streaky shooters with good athleticism.

Stats like this are misleading as hell.

They don't tell you that KD was playing his 4th game in 5 nights or 6th game in 8 nights or on the second night of a back to back while the opposing team was laying in wait on 3 days rest at home.

There's a ridiculous amount of trash posts like this on instagram and I wish I could block all of them at once.

Honestly it seems like he's gotten less athletic from when I first saw him, but some how keeps getting in the paint, with herky jerky start and stop foot work.

I've doubted RJ, but he just keeps producing, damn near every time he suited up for Canada we played the US tougher than we ever had. Gotta respect that, kid has a winners mentality.

RJ def ain’t explosive as I thought he would be. I really like the stringer bell comparison tho. I think K gonna put the ball in his hands and make him the main playmaker.

To be fair an L is a L . You never see all that in any stats , just the winner and the loser .
 
I am surprisingly believing in Zion. I get they were playing bummy squads from The North but just seeing his athleticism on display was insane considering his dimensions (pause). I’m not sure what his niche will be in the NBA but I am confident he will find his own lane.

I can agree with that. It depends on how valuable you think being familiar with the NBA environment is. I mean dudes were listing that as one of the big advantages Ben had over Mitchell when they were crying about him winning ROTY. Having an NBA father definitely isn’t the reason Steph is an all time great but in my opinion it helped to some extent. Obviously didn’t help extremely much because he couldn’t even get an offer from his dad’s alma mater but yeah.
 
What trips me out is dudes will act like I’m so tall and wonder why I’m not playing ball anymore but that same person would most likely say Steph is undersized lol.
