Teams don’t do buyouts on contracts like these because it’s so much money and players usually aren’t willing to walk away from that much money.

I’m guessing OKC would offer him around 20-40 to leave. No way in hell he would accept that, he’d probably want around 80-100. No way they’d come to an agreement cause that number is unreal.

Chris Paul also has nearly $160M left on his contract. He’s not giving any of that up at this point in his career and we’ve never seen any owner cut a NINE figure check for a guy to go away. So a buyout is unlikely.

He’s also well past 30 declining & injury prone so I don’t even know what he’s bringing back in a trade without a healthy amount of those picks. But **** he just brought back Russ
