OFFICIAL 2020 - 2021 AIR MAX 95 THREAD

Ill admit I’m not a 95 historian here but these may have been a retro after the original release? Either way it shows the line moved over which visually I think I prefer.

Yeah those are a retro from the late 90's, not an original release.

But I agree, that split looks SO much better and makes sense.

After a 76 day wait, finally got my Krugers in.

These thangs are pure beauty.

Nike, no more F.K. themed sneakers for the next 15-20 years. I love rarity.
Why so long?

This happened Thursday morning

Not usually a fan of 95’s that don’t have a gradient but these grew on me

initially put a bid in at $205 and it got close to that price during the last 50% off sellers fees, increased to $211, then $217 cause price started going up in my size

Received my pairs from SNKRS and GOAT. Double up was a must. These are my favorite air maxes of all time. There are noticeable differences especially the gradient which is the most obvious. It is nice to have a fresh pair to go with my 2008 pair that I copped that same year of 2008. I went a half-size up this time due to the fit of 2008's being a bit sung. My 2008's are still in excellent condition.

2008 vs. 2020...

The 2008 colors look completely off from what I'm using to seeing for Neons. Which color is truer to the original?

10 years ago before the AM95 became popular in the netherlands, france, germany and other EU countries the price difference between 90s and 95s was only 20-25 euro, 90s were 140-145 euro and 95s were 160-165 euro but after the 20th anniversary AM Day campaign from the 95s in 2015 the popularity from the 95s starting to increase heavily, nike noticed the higher demand and immediately raised the price from 160 to 170 euro later the PRM and LX models starting to show up and those starting to cost 175-180 euro, at the current moment 95s are probably the second most popular retro Air Max here in the EU after the 97s, surpassing the AM1s and the 90s, popularity from the 90s decreased heavily the last few years and the silhouette went from the second place to the sixth place when it comes to popularity, i agree with you that the 2020 AM3 radiant reds is a better sneaker from a sneaker collectors perspective compared to the neons, cuz its recrafted and the shade of red is close to the OG etc, but you need to understand that the demand in general for the neon 95s in the EU and Asia is way larger than the 90s and that the majority of the buyers that buys a pair of neons have probably no affinity with the sneakergame or collecting sneakers so they wont care or see that the AM3 is the better sneaker from the 2, the only thing what counts for them is that they want the hottest retro Air Max on the current market and that are the neon 95s right now
Do you know at what point they stopped selling Air Max Classic/Big Window? Those were the most popular one.

Rocking the Freshwaters today... need to wear them more before they fall apart. One of my all time favorite colorways

Agreed. Let mine go prematurely when downsizing years ago. But these were ALWAYS a pleasure on/off foot. Also dudes were tripping with the tongue split. This is like 1 out of 733,980 times that I prefer a slightly non OG detail to one that was there from its original run.

Can't even consider them an extended run because Air Max's get numbered by the year so old is old even 3 years later in 98/99 when I remember them picking up a lot of steam.
