OFFICIAL 2020 STIMULUS CHECK THREAD

Lmaoo they really giving us 2400 for a total of 6 months basically it’s gonna take a while for them to agree on something and then for it to get to us . if they don’t extend the unemployment amount to at least 400 a week we gonna be seeing a lot of problems. .
How many people still unemployed? Everyone I know is back to work or has been back for awhile

This shouldn't be a citizens vs citizens debate. The idea that people shouldn't have been getting paid $1000 a week to be home vs people should have been getting hazard pay is dumb. BOTH things should have happened.

People who worked through the whole pandemic shouldn't be mad at the unemployed. I had a job making significantly more than $1000 a week and I would've worked all pandemic if I had the choice to not get laid off. I've been applying for jobs in my field ever since and the job market is dry.

Don't get fooled by Trump's monthly reports that jobs are up. If you're someone who works an essential job like Walmart or whatever, thank you for all you did for the public when it was needed but people aren't gonna give up on their career field that they worked hard to get into and go work as a barista because the government doesn't wanna help

other countries have gotten way more financial help than we have in America so stop pinning the blame on the working class and direct your anger where decisions are being made.

I haven't really kept up with the unemployment situation elsewhere, but am genuinely curious to know what exactly other countries are doing to help out their citizens. The only thing I specifically recall hearing about was UK reimbursing businesses 2/3 of an employee's wage if the company kept them on payroll despite being shut down, IIRC.

Denmark has offered to pay between 70-90% of a workers salary up to $3300

France pays 70% of an employee's gross salary to a monthly maximum $7,575

Germany will pay 67% of wages up to a maximum of $7,326

The Netherlands will give companies up to 90 percent of each workers' wages.

brah america is basically socialist only for these big companies, they treat these big wigs better than europe treats its citizens.
america treats citizens second class.
how is giving unemployed 600 bucks even a decision when u can give these big businesses billions

ryda421 ryda421 take me to europe b

Only reason they gave us crumbs was becuase the stock market went down so bad.

The rationale they gave was that they wanted people to stay home and not work so they wouldn't spark more cases. Still doesn't make sense that people who kept going to work aren't getting hazard pay

kinda late here to raise hell for hazard pay but that’s what I had to do at my job back in April and we been getting a nice monthly bonus since. Ain’t mad at anybody sitting home collecting only mad at the *******s who spend it on firecrackers and keep the neighborhood up all night. Glad those people lost it **** em
